After 'test driving' a number of pistols, my wife decided she liked the fit and feel of the LC9S better than the others. This one is hers in 9mm.

No, no, no! That's too little for a 9 mm. I have shot a Glock 19. I CAN shoot a lightweight 9 mm. But, it's not enjoyable.

For 9 mm, I prefer my 5906 or my 1911. I need lots of weight to absorb recoil. I know. I'm a wuss.

For such a little, lightweight gun, I prefer a 22.

Oh for gosh sakes ... a compact 9mm isn't all that hard to control. And even if it is for you ... why not consider a compact 380 before stepping down to a 22lr.

Now a compact .45acp, now that's one I prefer not to shoot yet alone carry. Takes me a day or more to bring it back to point of aim.

I didn't say I would carry a 22LR. I just said that little guns are better when they're 22LR.

I do have 2 380s. A Walther PK380 and the new S&W 380 EZ. Those are my carry guns. The only 2 380s that I know of that are not direct blow back. They feel good to shoot!

ETA: And 45 and 9mm feel great to shoot AS LONG AS THE GUNS WEIGH ABOUT 2 1/2 POUNDS. A nice, massage-like push back rather than a hard snap.

I just picked up the Ruger LCP II 380 yesterday. I'll be taking it to the farm on Tuesday and can't wait. It isn't my first Ruger and probably won't be my last. I will probably pick up another for my daughter. I want her to shoot it before I make a decision. Her birthday is in August so there is plenty of time to figure it out.

I had been jonesing for a new firearm and had been eyeing the PP/PPK/PPKS. Then one day I came into work and before my brother even turned around to say Good Morning, he said he had something I would like.

He was right!

I've been paying on it for 4 weeks. A good way to s-t-r-e-t-c-h out the pleasure of buying a gun.

I love 32 acp.

Dad uses a Mauser 32acp

I prefer my Sig P220 45acp.

Just zeroed the sights on my new 5.56 10.5" AR SBR, yesterday. Used 25yd & 50yd targeting. MOA was low, so 8 clicks later on front sight got zero, but then the sight pin wouldn't release the pivot. Had to raise the sight 3 clocks to fold the sight. Guess I have to aim high. It's not for EDC, though. >OT

I have quite a bit of EDC gear. Dunno why I haven't posted in this thread sooner.

-Leatherman Charge+
-Emisar D4V2 SST20 5000K
-Any one of my chef-sharp flipper knives
-Seiko SKX007 (heavily modded w/NH36 movement, dial, bezel, sapphire double dome crystal, ceramic YM bezel insert, Benz hands, custom paracord bracelet
-SAK 580 (nail clipper FTW)
-nifty titanium toothpick and ear scratcher set on keychain
-Leather field notebook/wallet
-Hankie
-Pill fob for daily scrips
-EDC backpack w/other necessities.

Not to mention the Suburban filled with several hundred pounds of miscellaneous tools (shovels, saws) mechanic set...

Is there such thing as too prepared?

Stocked trauma FAK, also.
