As I close my eyes a dream comes to me of the wind blowing leaves
and whisper to me oh yeah

    Chorus
Ooh said it should've never been this way now we don't wanna go back
to the way we were the way we were

Beneath her lonely soul her heart has turned to stone because of the things
we do and we don't wanna change the things we do

    Chorus
Ooh said it should've never been this way now we don't wanna go back
to the way we were the way we were

You probably heard this story, but I thought I would share it anyway. Tonight on the news I heard that they were looking for the owners. It is amazing how much love we have for our animals. I don't know what I would do without mine. As soon as I get some extra money, I plan on sending Leave No Paws Behind because I think they are a wonderful organization. Just thought I'd share it. Hope you don't mind. Just look at that face.....

CALIFORNIA — A 13-year-old dachshund is getting a second chance at life after he was found outside an animal shelter with a heartbreaking note from an elderly couple who said they could no longer afford to care for him.
According to KTLA, “Harley” was found tied to a basket outside Baldwin Park Animal Shelter in California Thursday.Dachshund
A note found with Harley explained that the dachshund has had a skin disease for years and had gotten very sick.
“We are both seniors, sick with no money. We cannot pay for vet bills, or to put him to sleep. He has never been away from us in all those years, he cannot function without us, please put him to sleep,” stated the note, which ended without identifying the owners.
CaptufsdreA worker at the shelter called Toby Wisneski, CEO and founder of Leave No Paws Behind, to see if her organization could help.
Otherwise, Harley would be put to sleep.
Harley was welcomed with opened arms at the organization, Leave No Paws Behind, which is a nonprofit, foster-based rescue.
Although Harley did test positive for noncontagious demodectic mange, his blood work came back fine and he was expected to be OK, according to Wisneski.
Wisneski said what Harley’s owners did was an act of kindness and probably saved his life. He said he would like to return Harley to his owners, but has been unable to locate them.
Wisneski said that if the owners can be deemed capable of caring for Harley, then Leave No Paws Behind would pay for his medical expenses.
