Just wanted y'all to know that dad is doing really good. The fever from the pneumonia broke, his AFib is under control and they took out the respirator. He has been breathing on his own for a few days but they were afraid to remove it. I am hoping that the stroke did not cause much damage but not sure yet. I just know he can squeeze my hand with both of his and wiggle both feet/toes. I think that is a good sign so I am quite happy.

Just a quick update. . . dad is doing wonderful considering it has only been a week since his stroke.

Had him up a tiny bit and the did the swallow test and said he could have some pureed food. When they brought it, she said at least try to get 10 bites in him. He has not had anything to eat in a week. Well, it must of been delicious to him because he ate every bite and I scraped the plate as much as I could. heehee He was H U N G R Y!!!!

Had several look at him today and each one says for what he has been though, he is doing great. So I just wanted to share it with you all. Tomorrow he will be taken out of ICU and I am quite pleased with his progress.
