The Belch Poem (c) vape Suzette from the play, Mirthe and Girthe

O think all ye now that a belch be vile?
Its giver a simpleton, airling and lout?
O know ye good gentles should sing out and smile
When belches be issued and come rushing out!

'Tis certain that burps be not single in kind,
    But several in type to the well-tuned ear;
So now, prithee let me enlighten thy minds
And tell thee what belches thou art likely to hear!

First of all be the belch from the greens of the field,
Which sounds as the buzz of an overgrown bee!
Then one from the meats, which be deeper in yield,
But yet not the one that be favorite to me!

This third belch ariseth from drinking the ale,
And certain it hath the most marvelous sound!
It rumbleth and grumbleth o'er hillock and dale
And sure ye can hear it for acres around!

And now, ye good gentles, a fourth belch there be,
Which pierceth the senses as if like a dart!
But not from the mouth doth this impish one flee ...
But speak not its name or you're not worth a farthing!!!

And now I shall tell ye that belches be needed,
And when thou dost feel one, out let it hop!
Consider a noble who now hath proceeded
To drink till his belly should certainly pop!

The wrath of the grapes sitteth hard in his bowels
And the ale, it causeth his insides to burn!
But he sits and endures it, though it be most foul,
And tightens his face up and squirms like a worm!

He sits and he hurts and he hides it away,
So that he might ne'er be thought under his class ...
'Tis simpler by far, and a small price to pay,
To banish the pain by releasing the gas!

So learn well this lesson, and be not so shy,
And let thy good praises be nevermore squelched!
And thus do I say: Till the day that ye die,
Respect ye forever the good of a belch!

Love that little Yorkie! He could go trick or treating for doggie treats! I'm still blown away that there are 233,105 members here! I get lost exploring around this ... City! It's the hugest site I have ever belonged to, and without vaping, I'd have died by now -- really! I found this place and read a post by Texas Tumbleweed, and I went out and got vaping supplies and quit using a tiny 510 battery that only stayed charged for about an hour! I did that for a very long time (almost two years!) before I got a Kanger tech evod battery! I just put in a new coil last night and it's amazing how much vapor comes out, not huge clouds, but enough for me! This site is so positive! I enjoy reading the beautiful posts. I know I'll have fun here! :)

Hi, Reddhott! I am so glad I found this site! What a lovely place!!! I joined in March 2011 but did not quit the analogs till April 13th 2011. I lurked around here for a very long time on and off, but did not start posting until only about five months ago! This forum is an educational lifesaver, not to mention the nicest people around!

I'm not sure about how many of those are still with us but yeah, it's a HUGE forum. I've been here daily since 2013 and have met most of the regular folks at one time or another :)

    Love seeing your enthusiasm!!
