Though I have been a PIF member for a very long time most of you don't know me as I don't post often.

I live in Alabama a state in which recent tornados have recently inflicted a horrible amount of death and destruction, which I have seen up-close. I have been involved in K-9 search & rescue for over 15 years so I have been in the field assisting in the recovery efforts since just past midnight on the 28th and will probably be going back in a day or so. The loss of life and property are very reminiscent of Katrina but on a smaller scale.
I ask that all you wonderful folks in PIF keep the citizens of Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and all the other states affected by these tornados in your hearts, thoughts and prayers as they struggle to get their lives back on track although they will never be the same as this type of tragedy changes you forever.

As a long-time resident of "tornado alley" I have seen this kind of devastation and it just breaks my heart. It will take strength and faith to put so many lives together again. Blessings to you, Debbie, for your sympathetic help to those in such dire need.

Absolutely!! Living on the Gulf Coast, I've had my share of natural disasters.

and stay safe yourself!!! There are still so many dangers left in these 'paths of destruction'.

Have family in Bama, and Georgia, actually lived in Birmingham, and Tuscaloosa a few years.
My baby sister was born in Birmingham. So, yes I am praying for all.

My sincere thanks to all of you, I knew you all would do this if you weren't already. I will not be deploying again at least for several days due to pad injuries my dog sustained. They are minor but she definately needs down time to heal and recover.

Thanks, the injuries are minor but painful & would be comparable to a person walking with blistered feet. She is however feeling well enough to attack the vacuum and for once I am happy to have her attack it.
