Basically I had ordered two bottles of crappy gingerbread and complained the second time and initially was told that it was my fault and I had to deal with it. after a little reasearch I found out that it wasn't my fault, that things have in fact changed, and even though TV has STILL not admitted to those changes, insisting that it's MY tastes buds, the juice is becoming terrible. I wrote them an e-mail and after a week had heard nothing. They clearly don't want to deal with the problem, and the Gingerbread is still up on the site, they don't even have the decency to take it down until they figure out a way to fix the damn stuff. It's obvious that they are now using PA flavoring but with the same recipe they used with capella's.. Uh, it doesn't work that way. So anyway, I made a post in the TV forum blowing the whistle and got a refund the next day, he claimed he didn't have time and he would have gotten to it blah blah. Yeah right. I'm pretty sure if I never made that post and gone public, not a damn thing would have been done. I felt bad for a while, because being that loud and angry just isn't my style.. but I think it was the only way. So I'm not buying from TV anymore and I gave all my TV juice away

By the way, when I went to talk to someone via Live Chat, I asked this exact question:
"Has the recipe or flavoring changed?"

And I received this exact answer:
"No nothing has changed. Have you let the liquid sit?"

That is a BOLD FACED LIE. So apparently they are willing to straight-up lie to their customers if it means not having to deal with their mistakes. Oh and what a great excuse! "Just let it sit for a while longer". Oh so by the time I finally realize that this crap aint getting any better it's been too long to complain? So by the time I've let it sit for 3 weeks, you can tell me I've stored it improperly and I've spoiled it? I don't want a supplier that skirts around issues and acts like his poop don't stink!! The Gingerbread is AWFUL. And they would know that on no uncertain terms if they even SMELLED it. It's just terrible, unfathomably terrible. And the excuse? "The flavorings have inconsistencies" Uh, right. Or, maybe, you changed all your flavors and didn't give us any warning whatsoEVER that things might taste different. Or that.

Okay, I'm done.

Im still at odds, and I found the thread. Ive never been a fan of TV, and couldve been lack of experience with those types of liquids..who knows...shaking, steeping..not my thing. Im still at odds, and surprised he left the thread up at all, and in the end, I got a good laugh when geoff closed the thread because ol' boy dropped a name in his house. Still though, a week with no repsonse, just not good. I DO believe though he changed his formula or suppliers and neglected to inform the consumers of these changes. And that my friends, is his fault.

Not only did he do that, but he is utterly DENYING that anything has actually changed. His excuse is simply, not all flavoring batches are the same. Well, this is WAY off. What a jerk.

I have to believe he doesnt care if he loses "one" customer by reading that thread. He hasnt developed a system that can run on auto pilot yet, so his entire empire would fall without HIM being there to handle everything, and THAT kind of stress will build cracks, and enough cracks will crumble any tower....not saying thats my wishes, but I read into ppl a bit too much. He hasnt gotten a good system going yet to handle affairs like yours, and in turn lost some customers. Not just you, but ppl that like you more than him as well. Success like his is hard to control. Gotta hand it to him for accomplishing what he has, But I can tell he hasnt assembled that team he needs to go to the next level just yet. Its dissapointing, but cant say I didnt see that comming months ago when I saw him remove the wholesale side of his business. As well, when I ordered 350 bucks of stuff, took too long to get to me to be a reliable source. I cant buy the whole "Pa's and FA's consistency" as an issue resulting in your issue. That would mean batches of product being WAY off, and all business works on set formulas, both chemical and workforce wise. He just hasnt gotten his formulas down on either side yet...hope we dont catch flack for posting about this here...

I was semi-surprised that there wasn't more defense of TV in that thread, not like when someone pseudo-insults the Chuck or Buzz and their fans attack. I thought you were nice about it, I have seen my wife in action when similar events occur around here and you were being reasonable by comparison (I'm the mellow part of the relationship!:laugh:). I believe that others know something is amiss or there would have been a heck of a lot more posts; then again its really bad when there are attacks for people just trying to get an answer to a question -- but that is the world we live in now! Jeez, the PIF crowd are, by definition, nice, sharing, and caring, not the type to cause a ruckus for no reason (wow, there are some in that outside thread....:lol:) -- attacking the beloved Sallana, you might as well attack Jules!:evil:

On a separate note, I finally used the recipes on the thread, I'm letting some 12 different ones steep now, thank you all so much! :):):):):)

Geoff from TV kind of rubbed me the wrong way on YouTube regarding a small verbal slip-up in one of my reviews...he quickly deleted the incredibly unprofessional comment he left and replaced it. When I contacted him regarding my correction to the slip-up, he kind of sent me an FU message in response.

Between that and the fact that I've soured on most TV flavors (there is a LOT better out there), I'm pretty much done with them myself.

Everything Sallana said is true. The gingerbread is horrible. I have 2 batches with doublers now that I wouldn't give to my dog ( and she licks her own but). I was an avid fan and a weekly customer but no more for me.
I have been in business 25 years and learned 2 things. 1 - You will make mistakes, admit them and fix
them. 2 - if you don't admit you make mistakes and fix them well then you won't have customers very long.
Just my 2 cents.
 
amen to that... There really is no other answer other than they switched flavorings.. i dunno why he isnt sayin that? I havent had to new TV GB, but have had fsusa GB and the old TV gb, and know exactly what yall r talkin bout in flavor diff.. and it is a big jump....u can smell the diff...not just taste it.. It really is a bummer for ppl who loved that certain juice. It is hard to find a Fav juice!

Anyone care to elaborate just a bit further than "TV just being TV", because this doesn't say anything to me other than a business being a business.

Are there specific reasons why I shouldn't be buying from them (other that the apparent recipe changes?)

Sallana, if you recall you had stated you had seen the way he treated others but since it didn't affect you, you kept ordering. That is the problem. People should get a clue and when they see the way Geoff treats his customers know that your time will probably come and even if it doesn't, how can anyone do business with a person like that? I don't mean that as an attack on you just pointing out that many are like that.

I read how he has treated customers and it is condescending and rude. He denies things like bad taste even when multiple people agree. He is quick to blame everyone except the possibility he did something wrong. His communications are not professional. He hides behind the 'that is me - deal with it' attitude. As a business owner, even if you have a rough personality you (the owner) must deal with it yourself. You (the business owner) deal with the public; you serve the public; and therefore need to learn tact. I see none of that in him.

So, as sky dragon said, you need to choose who you do business with. And if people keep shopping with him then he has little reason to change. If his sales suddenly drop off 10-20% then he will have to take note.

He has never done anything to me. I have never purchased from him. But based on the many comments/complaints I have seen and the unprofessional nature of his responses, I highly doubt I will purchase from him.

That is my take after reading his forum and observing what transpires.

While i hesitate to weigh in on the TV issue I have to play devils advocate here. On a strictly personal level, I love the juices Geoff sends me. He even does a great job when I am a bit vague about the taste I am looking for. No he is not warm and fuzzy but that is ok since I don't need hugs and kisses from him just really good juice. So far I can't complain. All that said I regret the troubles others have had and hope they find resolution. Yes being a bit more approachable would be nice and help keep a loyal customer base, I totally have to agree. Some of the vendors I am most loyal too is based on their personality. In the meantime I will vape away on TF and hope I never have to stop ordering it.

I have nothing personal against Geoff, just observations from a business stand point. Everyone is entitled to an opinion so never hesitate to state yours - I am sure no one will jump on you. I hope he can smooth out some of the rough edges as a professional that I see just so that he can be more successful. A lot of his juices get great reviews and I am sure I will some some PIF'd in the future.

Decided to delete most of what I wrote here.....said all I have to say about TV...just beware!

Just a quick note (I got e-mailed your full response) to make sure you did hear of a development. Geoff did refund Sallana her money or at least I know he offered her a refund which I assume she took. Doesn't excuse all the stuff but at least he did do 1 right step.

Some vendors are just this way....just like some people might be good business people but not good at dealing with people. I suspect Geoff is maybe this way as well. I had the same thing with a guy I bought some atty's from. They were advertised as EM-LR5 atty's, but when I got them they were labelled differently. When I asked about it, he basically jumped all over me. Suffice to say I won't be doing business with him anymore.

Very interesting. Also funny to watch people complain and then as soon as tasty himself replies it's all praise and forgiveness. Anywho, at least I know what flavor to avoid if I ever choose to order from TV. I'm seriously eying that waffle though. I have some from breezesmokes and I love it. Wondering if TV will taste even better? hehe
