I just got my pila charger and 10 of the imr safe chem batts, but the batts are really loose in this charger, i had to tilt them up to make contact on the positive side connection. Is this ok?
I imagine your using the screw in adapters that come with the pila. The IMRs are just a little shorter than the typical 14500s so they can be a little loose. You can order an additional charger spacer(2-3mm) that will tighten them up. You can also use a penny or two
As long as you are getting the solid red light to indicate they are charging, it doesn't matter how they fit.
This is a sweet charger and it is nice to be able to just take the batteries out instead of them becoming airborne like some of the other tight-springed chargers I've used.

Your "airborn" comment reminded me of a story from a Corvette forum - a guy named a little spring clip on the throttle body a "Jesus Clip", because once you got it loose, it would go flying, causing you to say, "Jesus, where'd that go?" - LMAO!
