I got an order in for 25 of the cartridges (black Marlboro low) and they all appear to have the small cart.

Not sure what you mean by "small cart". The mouthpiece is 1.25" long, and inside there is a small cup with a stick on the bottom to keep it from moving all the way down to the bottom of the mouthpiece. The cup itself is half an inch. I'm pretty sure that's how all of the Pilot carts are.
There are 2 different 'cup' sizes. The Evo carts come with the long one (about twice the length) and they last a lot longer. I know Intellicig is still shipping short carts for menthol unless you specify so I wondering if the Pilot had the longer 'cup' available.
To my knowledge, the longer cup is an Intellicig exclusive. I'm wondering if it will work with any M401?
I'm also wondering too. If it's the case that the evo carts will fit on the pilots, I might be tempted to pick some evo carts. Long battery life with a long cart will definitely make my day.
They will fit. I had an Evo cart on my pilot today. I have a bunch of the brown Evo carts and I was thinking about taking the inner cups and putting them in the black cart. The black ones look better on the Pilots.]v[icr0-kn0x;120719 said:

I find I prefer the EVO. I'm stuffing my Pilot carts with the longer EVO insides for refills. Works fine.
They do seem to last a little longer but not much at all. Can't say I like one over the other, they seem pretty close.
