Nice work on that Seita, hirize.:toast: Classy! Quick thought-- I've seen a lot of chubby billiards in recent years from pipemakers. They would make great conversion candidates because of the thicker shanks... Find one with a 20-22mm diameter shank, and you'll get some nice seamless lines flowing from shank-to-tank-to-bit.

Duckie, you're too kind. Thanks for the kudos bud. You sure have witnessed all the ups and downs... thanks for posting that pic of my first pipe with the bottom blown out!! I gotta say I never expected to take it this far, but I can't fight the feeling. It's too fun, I'm hooked for life.

Off to craft another ;) Thanks y'all.

Burnie, given that the tank holds 2.5ml, I'm gonna guess that these are XL size cartomizers. Almost all vape shops/websites carry these. Others may be able to chime in with more certainty though. I haven't used cartos since my first month of vaping.

By the way folks, I just realized, Thursday was my one year smoke-free anniversary! :w00t: So many great things have come from this: I learned ohm's law, how to use a multimeter, how to build a basic electronics circuit, and most importantly how to make PIPES! :D And I've met a lot great folks along the way. Cheers to that! :toast:

Congrats on the anniversary, and (another) for the latest round of pipes!

That calabash looks like it would be a pretty big pipe judging from the pictures you posted in this thread. I was a bit surprised when I saw the actual size in the photo album.

Burnie......I believe that is a carto tank for a DSE 618 pipe....Go here Electronic Cigarettes | Ecigarette Kits & Eliquids by Aqua Vapor Cig look in epipe accessories for the carto's for this tank....$2.95 ea. Ouch........If I'm not mistaken this also "Proprietary Thread", it will only work on a DSE 618 pipe....

Thanks but I guess I will have to wait until it gets here next week. I had seen the ones from Aqua Vapor but was not sure they were right, and at the price I want to make sure. I was hoping someone had one and KNEW which carto it took and where to get one. Thanks Anyway. Hopefully someone with one will chime in.

Hey Burnie,

I'm new here, but I noticed that you seemed to have questions about the 618. I've got one, and I did write up a review which is in the main body of the e-pipe forum. I'm still learning, but it does seem that the cartos are proprietary. The good news is, if you want to change it up, a Kanger Protank II fits perfectly, and is the same diameter as the body.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me, and I'll endeavor to answer them for you. Overall, as a newb, I'm happy with the pipe.

By the way, when I was at the new shop in town, they had an e-pipe mod that had an extra long, curved drip tip. It was stainless steel, 6-7 inches long, and had a gentle curve. I'm trying to find it via Bing, but anyone know anything about this tip? I'd love to pick one up.

Sounds really cool to me also.

Finished up a new pair this week while on staycation ;)

#03 - Briar Calabash with golden Amboyna Burl top cap and atty cover. I had a blast crafting this one, definitely gonna be making more. This baby is on its way to Bigfoot... sad to see it go.

and

#04 - Maple Burl Brandyglass - the grain on this wood is pure chaos, I love it. Check the set for more detail - 04_Maple Burl Brandyglass - a set on Flickr

Cheers, folks. :toast:

Both of those pipes are incredible. I'd love to take one like that next time I'm deployed with the British Royal Air Force; those guys would love them!
