Thanks a lot, y'all. There aren't many cats on the forum, let alone on the planet(!), that appreciate this stuff. It's just too much fun for me to keep it all to myself. ;)

The volcano is definitely my favorite of the two. The inward taper going up from the bottom of the bowl makes for easy access to the switch and a very comfortable hand feel... and the lip around the bottom is just icing on the ergonomic cake. It's a tough shape to execute, but well worth the effort. I'll definitely be making more of that shape.

Howdy fellow pipers! Been a helluva summer. Hope y'all are well. Nice to see some new converts in the thread - :toast: I got some new tools this summer, and finally started putting in some work over the past few weeks... finally have something to show for it! I present the Bamboo Dublin Sitter and the Volcano with Black Palm and acrylic inlays:

They're far from perfect, but I'm extremely happy with the results. Still trying to find the right stem for the volcano. I have about 60 pics in these two sets showing the progress. Feel free to browse:
01_Bamboo Dublin Sitter - a set on Flickr
02_Volcano - a set on Flickr

I'm really having a blast - briar is such an amazing wood to work with. That's all I plan on using for now, and I'll stick to the exotics for inlays and such, as in the atty cover for the Volcano.

Hope ya dig em. Lemme know what you think, criticisms are welcome.

Cheers

What kind of wood did you use?

And here it is in working 18650 mode.. I think I'll pass. Feels comfortable enough at least.

What do you think boys and girls?....pasttubbs said he used the parts off a sentinel clone.....This is telescoping?...A KICK...maybe?

Jerms didn't say what was used on his pipe......Your thoughts.....

Thanks....for the picture...Jerms....When I looked at it, I was thinking..."My.... what a BIG  pipe you have Sir".....sorry... I couldn't resist...

When I saw the pipe in the "pictures of your setup" I was thinking of Tez CannedWolf and me goofing around about a telescoping pipe....

I guess that would be one, But it looks.....weird... sort of?

Have you tried it with a 1865? I see they have a brass one now, might look better on it...

duckie......

Yep works fine with an 18650. The Smok pipes bottom cap can be used for using the pipe's top button, or the plastic piece in the pipe can be screwed down to where it auto-fires with a button-top batt, and the Sentinel's bottom button can be used to fire it.

To say it looks weird is an understatement lol, I think it's ugly as sin. It is comfortable to hold though. The aluminum Sentinel would look better with this pipe, or like you said the new brass Smok pipe would look better with the brass Sentinel. Even better would be the M16, which is the same as the Sentinel but with a smooth body instead of the ribs.

All are available at FastTech for around $20 or under, hell of a price for an all brass mech. Very little voltage loss too, they hit as hard as a triple digit priced mech.

Anyone tried The Silencer yet?
The Silencer

The silence is deafen isn't?..... r7

I went to the web site for a look.....16mm wide is not bad....40mm long, not so good...$30.00 for a 3.2-4.8 VV well I don't know.

Looking at the picture of the device...It shows a air hole in the female 510 connection...If you have juice leaking?

I have Twist that I set at 4 volts, and a Kick I set at 7-8 watts (about 4volts w/ 2.0 ohm) so to me this wouldn't be bad, except for the form factor.....This is just a Twist, etc. at the end of the day.....If it was smaller?

Off topic, somewhat...Someone was going to make a sleeve/container to put a Kick in(something like this), but I lost the thread, anyone?

duckie.......edit...To answer your question...No....
