It should be fine for subohming. The only thing that might make a difference is if you have a pg sensitivity. There may also be a slight change in how it vapes. Just barely a little less cloud, slightly less sweet and slightly clearer flavor. These changes are very small though. You may not even notice them.

There is nothing that says 50/50 can't be sub-ohmed.

It is a bit thinner; so flooding/leaking might become a bit more problematic in certain atomizers. And, as @bombastinator already pointed out, there could be excessive throat-hit, and/or irritation (for those with PG intolerance) for some individuals. But, otherwise, there should be no prohibition.:)

I would first try @JCinFLA's suggestion, and contact the vendor to see if they would be willing to correct your order. If they are willing... problem solved.

If they can't/won't... then you have a couple of other choices. Either, vape it as is. Or, order an equal volume of 3mg/mL nic in 100% VG, and blend the two bottles together. The result would be a 25PG/75VG/3mg/mL mix. That should be close enough to your usual blend, that you shouldn't(?) notice any difference. You'll just have twice as much.:D

5-since I subohm, should I lower my wattage?

If you want less throat hit then that will help.. You can also buy VG from many places online or maybe you have a local vape shop that has it, if they make their own brand of juice. Check local drug stores as well and see if they stock VG..

Adding more VG will effect the flavor though unless you are going to continue to vape unflavored... The Nic level will also be effected by adding straight VG.

I vape 70VG 30PG unflavored 3mg nic in subtanks and still get a really good throat hit..

I don't do DIY so take my remarks with a grain of salt. I vape plain ole vg/pg base..

I've compared the 50/50 with the 30pg/70 vg.
1-less vapor production
2-less sweet
3-a bit more throat hit
4-the comparison was done with unflavored
5-since I subohm, should I lower my wattage?
Know that lowering wattage:
-- will reduce throat hit
but, will also
-- lower vapor production (may or may not be important to you)
-- alter the taste of your flavored e-liquids (lower/higher temperatures can increase/decrease some flavors taste)

Adding plain VG, to bring up the VG's impact on the ratio, also has its consequence. To achieve a 30PG/70VG ratio, in an existing 50/50 mix... you would need to add an additional 66.67% of the starting volume.

This will dilute your nicotine (your 3mg/mL will become 1.79mg/mL). It should have no effect on flavor, IF you dilute the base prior to adding flavor concentrates.

If you don't want to reduce the nicotine potency; you could choose to adjust using a 3mg/mL nicotine base in 100% VG. You would require 668mL to correct 1 liter of the 50/50 to your preferred 30PG/70VG, and keep a 3mg/mL nic level.:)

I buy my pg/vg/nic already mixed, I ordered 30/pg/70vg/3mg nic. If I mix the 50/50 with the 30/70 in equal parts I'll have a 40/60 mix which will be ok. I can also mix 1 part 50/50 with 3 parts 30/70 to equal 35/65 which is also ok. Thank you for your advice it led me in the right direction.
