Plan to Become an Ex-Smoker for Good

Other suggested techniques, like hypnosis and acupuncture, have helped some people quit but lack strong proof of their effectiveness. tobacco lozenges and pouches and nicotine lollipops and lip balms lack evidence as quitting aids, and no clinical trials have been published showing that electronic cigarettes can help people quit.

Millions upon Millions have stopped smoking by switching to vaping.
Those opposed to E-cigarettes will say this not scientific evidence
e-cigarettes help people stop smoking.

Science has proven Bumblebees can't fly...(Bumblebees don't know this).

I never would have stopped smoking, without electronic cigarettes. I enjoyed smoking and I'm not ashamed to admit it. When I started with e-cigs, my plan was to cut down on smoking, to save some money, not stop altogether. After 2 months of doing both, I couldn't stand cigarettes anymore, so I stopped using them and just used the e-cig.

I think not enough people have switched based on what I see on my surroundings... vaping e cigs is still saw like a strange alchemist practice... I am still afraid to be caught by the Police when using this because its still not commonly known and I concerned that they can think I'm using ilegal drugs with this :) and more with attys that look like a test tube as the Vivi Novas for example, For sure this will boom when legislation starts to give approvals but now the subject is doomed around the world due the FDA speech which is obvious to be inconclusive in all senses.

As we can see, the opposition to e-cigarettes has an ever-evolving (or devolving) argument. In 2010 and 2011 the main rationale they used was that "we don't know if they're safe." This line was further reinforced by the now-infamous FDA study that blatantly took its findings out of context. Many public health officials contested the FDA study from every angle, from its methodology to its "conclusion."

Now, after that study has been widely criticized, the growing battle cry of the opposition is that "we don't know if they're effective." Small studies have shown a clear indication of effectiveness, and dwarfed the big pharma products in effectiveness. What a large clinical trial concludes, I'm 95% confident that the findings will echo the smaller studies done thus far, and actually may surpass them in effectiveness, since the e-cigarette products have only improved.

I think not enough people have switched based on what I see on my surroundings... vaping e cigs is still saw like a strange alchemist practice... I am still afraid to be caught by the Police when using this because its still not commonly known and I concerned that they can think I'm using ilegal drugs with this and more with attys that look like a test tube as the Vivi Novas for example, For sure this will boom when legislation starts to give approvals but now the subject is doomed around the world due the FDA speech which is obvious to be inconclusive in all senses.

It's the job of law enforcement to make a distinction between the use of a legal product and illicit drug paraphernalia, not the user. The more people shy away from using their PVs from a possible confusion only puts e-cig users in a defensive position. I do see you're in Mexico, which is surely known for corrupt law enforcement. I do agree the FDA speech and their tilted study has done a lot of harm to the public across the globe.

When I go out, I carry a small 3ml sample bottle of juice from one of my suppliers that has the logo and advertising from the vendor. It plainly says Camel on the front and has the Awesome Vapor logo with the slogan, "Premium Electronic Cigarette Liquid". I carry this solely for the purpose of identifying it for anyone who questions what I'm doing. At least it's an attempt at the truth.

Most people just ask what my Provari is. That gives me the opportunity to explain about ecigs and how they work. I get to explain how I would probably never have quit smoking without them. I've started carrying a couple of cards from a local supplier to hand out that has a link to their web site. I also give them the link to ECF.

Usually this happens with wait staff in a restaurant. I've had as many as 3 people crowded around the table wanting to know about ecigs. No one has ever told me I couldn't use it in their establishment. That's the surprising part.

Since 4 out of 5 people don't smoke these days, it's not surprising that we don't grow in numbers as fast as we would hope. If 1 of 5 who do smoke learn about ecigs, that's a plus. Eventually, the number of people smoking and vaping will diminish to zero, but that will take decades.

I think it's a matter of familiarity, most of the people that I know have heard or have read about the e cigarettes but they think that these have a similar cigarette shape and size and when they look at the PVs we are using they get surprised, a lavatube doesn't look like as a part of an analog cigarette for sure.

The FDA inconclusive statement has negatively impacted most of the legislation around the world, In Mexico recently we have seen a lot of media announcements saying that e cigs are ilegal and they are dangerous because they have cancirogens (thanks for the FDA statement)... If any smokers see this statement will be drove away of e cigs and it's going to be hard to convince them if later we got a different result from new studies (even from the FDA), This FDA study is not only inconclusive is negatively focused and explicitely looking to stab to death the e cigarette industry.

I don't even try to argue with smokers who have their concerns
about e-cigarettes after hearing the FDA and other propaganda.

I just say ...
The number of people who have died from e-smoking is ZERO !
How many do you think have died from smoking ?

They get that blank look on their face ... and then they get it.

Those that ask about Chantix ...
I reply by asking them how many have died from taking Chantix
and have they heard about all the lawsuits ??

They get the same blank look on their face
:p

Folks ...
We live in a sound bite world
