I have just started my vaping and am loving it. So as I plan ahead, I have bought some blank cartomizers and carts to begin using choice liquids. I have seen people use a blue foam that is fairly inexpensive to replace the fillers with when they are spent. I saw a youtube video which indicated that the foam was from a pet store. Pleawse help me with the following:.
1. What is the foam?
2. Can it be purchased from a pet store?
3. Does it tend to hold juice better?
4. Does it seem to last longer than the filler that comes in the blank cartomizers and carts?

I thank anyone who will take time to answer my questions. I promise that as I become more knowledgable, I will pay it foward. Thank you again, in advance. Happy vaping!:vapor:

1. What is the foam?
Marineland type 'U'

2. Can it be purchased from a pet store?
Yes.

3. Does it tend to hold juice better?
Yes, with less leaking. Plus you don't get that burnt fiber taste.

4. Does it seem to last longer than the filler that comes in the blank cartomizers and carts?
Yes.

Where in Fla. are ya? I'm in Manatee County and have a little blue foam that I could give ya.

if your planning ahead that much, id say spend a few dollars and throw a drip tip in your cart. you never know until you try it. personally thats what i do most of the time, as with alot of people here. its got its draw backs as well.

So I have heard of them but I don't exactly know what they do. Do you drip liquid directly onto the atty bridge? Please advise and thank you!

The blue foam is what they use in the aquarium filters. I've use it and don't find it much different than the stuff that comes in the carts. You just have to experiment with it to figure out the right amount. Stuff too much in the cart and it's dense and won't hold as much. Not enough and it won't hold the juice.

As for dripping, yes, you are dripping right onto the bridge of the atty. No medium (foam) in the tip. It's a bit messy as the juice can run back into the tip if you use too much. You can also flood the atty. If you use just a few drops it works well, but you need to drip often because you use so little juice.

If you have a 510 just buy the precut pieces for 510 from strictlyejuice.com - very cheap

Otherwise the bulk is Marineland Rite-Size U Bonded Foam Sleeve for MAGNUM H.O.T. Filters from the aquarium dept of Petsmart.

It makes cartridges better - nice stuffing, holds its shape, easy to remove, rinse, pat totally dry
But still, I think most people find atomizer + cartridge to be the most annoying way to vape

Blue foam is ONLY for cartridges used with atomizers. You cannot replace the stuffing of cartomizers. Cartomizers are disposable unless you end up being one of the people who can actually get good results cleaning and drying them. I get 1-2 weeks good use out of a carto and then throw it out.

I wish I was nearer so that I could get it from you. I heard it is not too expensive.

PM me your addy and I'll put some in an envelop for you to experiment with. If ya like it, then you can go out and buy some. And no, it's not expensive and a little goes a long way. None of my local stores carried the Type 'U', so a kind ECF member sent me some. So this would be an appropriate PIF.
