eliquid flavoring with Bigelow Plantation Mint:

I got some black tea liquid which was actually surprisingly good, nicely like actual black tea, and thought why not use a tea? I like mint, and had the Plantation Mint handy.

Folded the bag in half the long way and put it in a 12 mL syringe, added about 1 mL of alcohol (scotch for flavor and I don't drink vodka anyway) poured 36 mg/mL PG unflavored over top until it hit the 10 mL line (making sure to cover the hole with a finger tip to prevent drips), put plunger back in, inverted to push out air, and let it soak for about 30 minutes, occasionally fiddling with the plunger to move the liquid around.

The resulting liquid is pretty dark, though I have coffee and rootbeer liquids that are darker. It smelled really chemical and perfumy to be honest. I could have squeezed more out, but got about 6 mL of liquid out of the syringe. Dripped into a cartomizer on a homemade 5V passthrough and was pleasantly surprised that it really did taste like plantation mint tea! A bit dry, with a musty hint like earl gray, and not very strong, but subtle and minty. A very nice change from simple, bold flavors I usually buy, though not an all day vape I think.

Potential damage to an atomizer is high, I'd guess, due to whatever is extracted from the tea, but wtih cartomizers being cheap, I just don't care. In the future, since I plan to try other tea extractions, I think I'll use plain PG to extract the tea flavor and then add the precious nicotine if I like the flavor, probably with some really high test mixing liquid.

Simple, cheap, and, for me at least, a success!
