You cant always see everything,,,,, have you ever drank water from a water bottle that sat in a car for a week and got warm ? or even just sat for a while at room temp ? and tasted the plastic ? there is no noticeable wear on the bottle :) but you can surely taste it Rick. This is more what I'm talking about, the bottles I posted pics of where my first experience of signs of wear on a bottle in my almost 3yrs of vaping, and why I posted them because I wasn't only concerned only for me,, but for other as well.

You are completely and utterly right (didn't even see your posted pictures...just going by your description). I'm sorry. Forgive me?

Can you please point me to said pics so I can have a look. I went to your original post on page one, but didn't see a pic or link.

BTW - can I PLEASE be verified now? Y'all really don't know what kind of crap I had to go through to get to this point.

Rick,

No hard feelings, going back to page #1 and starting there and read to where where at now is a good idea Rick. If I was only concerned for myself I never would have brought this up, some people can troll if they want, but that's NOT what this is about, I don't vape Cinnamon oil, and it wasn't in those bottles I posted pics of,,,, but I used it as an example because cinnamon oil definitely has an effect on plastic and some vendors do use it and put it in plastic,, as well as some other ingredients,,, you wont always see what happens to the inside of the bottle by eye as well,,, but there is some special equipment and test that can tell,,,, and taste doesn't lie. Try what I'm saying and put some in glass bottle, and some in a plastic bottle, store it for a month on the window sill,,, as well as some other juices,,, then look at the color change as well as the taste difference of the juice when you vape each.

Welcome to the forum, Rick.

Hey mwa102464, are you using a bottom feeder? If so, are you just using the glass bottles for long term storage?

I can't wait to get my glass bottles.

Don't know if you saw this (Specialty Bottle - Glass Bottles) earlier during all the...confusion, but there it is again. They have some pretty cool stuff.

I have a bunch of bottom feeders, I have swapped out my soft plastic bottles to PET, PETE type bottles, It's a harder type plastic like the Chinese seem to use a lot with there flavorings and juice, I haven't seen any etching or moving of the inside of the bottles, I'm at a bit of a loss here not being able to use glass with them. I am going to be trying to see if there is a way to make a glass bottle work though, and see if there is a way to create a seal that will allow for the juice to be pulled up just enough to the Atty still while taking a pull, not sure it will work but gonna try it.

Here is something on PET & PETE, interesting read =

Gotta tell you Matt, I think PET is probably the worse plastic to use. From what I've read LDPE is supposed to be much safer.

#1 PETE or PET (NOT SAFE due to antimony leaching)
Polyethylene terephthalate

#2 HDPE (SAFE)
High density polyethylene

#3 PVC or V (NOT SAFE due to phthalates)
Polyvinyl chloride

#4 LDPE (SAFE)
Low density polyethylene

#5 PP (SAFE)
Polypropylene

#6 PS (NOT SAFE for hot liquids, alcohol or fatty foods due to styrene)
Polystyrene

#7 plastics including polycarbonates that contain bisphenol A (BPA) (NOT SAFE due to BPA)
Polycarbonate

I here what your saying Pete,,, Ben at Alien visions is using it, as well as some other juice suppliers, and many of the Chinese are using it though,,,, it is harder then the softer plastic bottles, and I see nothing on the inside of the bottles when stored juice is in it,,,, not that we can see everything by eye,,, but these soft LDPE & HDPE bottles I'm just having issues with Pete when it comes to taste. My juice just taste funky when using these, call me nuts I now but the PET & PETE seem to be pretty good so far, not like glass by any mean, Glass would obviously be best is I can get it to work in a bottom feeder some how by creating just the right seal so when you to a pull it would pull it up just enough but I doubt that's gonna work, I'm gonna try it though and see what I find

" Is it true that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) only allows plastic beverage bottles, such as those made with polyethylene terephthalate (PET), for one-time use? No, FDA allows PET to be used in food-contact applications, including food and beverage packaging, regardless of whether the packaging is intended for single or repeated use. PET beverage bottles sold in the United States are designed for single use for economic and cultural reasons, not because of any safety concerns with PET."

What is the source for the unsafe, antimony leaching, claim?

(sorry for using your trademark Rick)

Well, I asked the question before and I didn't get a response, so I was making sure he saw that I was asking him directly. Also, I think you meant to say "blind" as I didn't make a sound. Lastly, I don't remember asking you.

Hey mwa102464, thanks for responding to my query.

FROM Help: Answer :

"We also have gone to great lengths to ensure that our bottles do not leach any chemicals into our eliquids, as some types of plastics are known to do.
All of our eliquids are bottled in LDPE plastic bottles which we feel is the safest choice to contain our product in. LDPE plastic does not leach any chemicals into the liquids in contains, ensuring that the eliquid you receive is the same high quality product expected.
We avoid glass bottles as some companies have chosen due to the greater potential safety risks presented by this type of container. Most companies offering glass eliquid containers do not offer childproof caps. Glass eliquid containers can also be easily broken potentially putting those who come into contact with it at risk if the liquid contained nicotine."

OK. It seems that the only answers readily available on the subject at hand (e-liquid containers...not Rick) is from e-juice vendors.
