Alright so here is the situation. I started vaping 2 weeks ago with a triton tank set, love it,works great for at work. Have a lot of juice, can also make my own and am at 0 or 6 mg nic on everything so vaping has worked for me and is now more of a hobby than anything.

I am the type of gadget geek that loves to have the latest greatest best tech. I have little interest in mechanicals as I'm pretty much set on vv mods. With that said, I like for my gadgets to be worth their investment. I had an evic for a few days, liked it but didn't see how it was 100 dollars better than anything else. So I returned it and picked up an innokin vv 3.0 chameleon, which to me has provided as good or better vaping experience than the evic, so I am happy with it cept the crap battery life.

So now I have a SVD on the way from fast tech. I've read good reviews. Now, everyone here loves the provari. I've gotten as far as hitting the final checkout button before I stop and ask myself how is this going to provide a 150 dollar better experience than the 40 dollar SVD on the way. I understand the durability and build quality thing, but my mod is going to sit in my basement at all times waiting for my man cave time. So with that in mind, what would I experience for 4 times the price of my en route SVD?

Is my SVD going to .... the bed in 30 days? If that happens I'll end up buying a provari anyways, but at this very moment, i am only concerned with vape quality, is it really that much better?

Thank you in advance for comments.

the VV's I use are vamo, evic and provari.. the chinese versions are erratic, one minute they are working great, 60 seconds later I am changing voltage, changing heads or lights are flashing because they are getting too hot, somehow I am fiddling with them. The provaris just simply work correctly, all the time. I travel with them, carry them in my pocket, generally I would say I do not take very good care of them, but they work correctly ALL the time.

I bought the Provari because it is a really well built tool with exceptional after sale support. If that was not a large factor in my buying decision, if I were looking for a cool toy with fun features, I don’t think a Provari would have been my first choice. If you want a cool toy with reasonable build quality, get a Sigelei ZMax V5. If you want something that may not be flashy but will still work 5 years from now, get a Provari.

So does the SVD. The SVD never does those things mentioned. This coming from a houshold with three SVD's, three different users. I know the provari is great. So is the SVD......so far.

The SVD is very good. I like it a lot. Lighter than an extended Provari, but also a.fair amount longer. The vape.is.very good too. Much better than the other Chinese mods I've tried. My pin did push in, which would never.happen on a Provari, but that was easily solved with an adapter.

I'll probably end up breaking it, but that's the norm for me. My Provaris have wracked up some frequent flyer miles too, for.service.

That's one of the significant differences; you can send it in for repairs. For those like me, that's a.valuable asset.

As for the SVD, like another stated, if you like it, you're golden. And like I said, it's a nice device, in my opinion.

eh, 5 years is not what im looking at..with the way this industry is growing, tech changes monthly just like the tech world. I'd say a good solid year is more my time frame for quality. The 20 dollar version upgrade is pretty cool though, gotta give them credit for that. I'm definetly going to give the SVD a go. I'm just looking for input, I don't want to be sitting here the whole time thinking man I wish I got the provari. On the other hand, I don't want to be sitting here saying why did I just spend 200 dollars to do the same thing as a 40 dollar mod does.

A Provari is not going to make a bad juice taste better, or make a bad juice delivery device work better and provide better tasting vapor.

What it will do is be consistant, from the beginning of the battery until the end.

It will be durable and be able to take an incredible amount of punishment and keep working. (The only thing that has bested a Provari so far is a lawn mower, and you should have seen the blade.)

It will be reliable - it just works every time.

You will be impressed with it's build quality - you will note this the first time you hold one in your hand.

You will have peace of mind that should anything go wrong with your Provari (a rarity), Provape will fix it and return it within about a week, even after the warranty has expired (for a reasonable fee) for as long as you have the device. You won't get that with any Chinese made device.

If you can find a better APV, then buy it. Buy a Provari once, cry once, regret it - never.

No matter what name is on the power device if you use too much power for the delivery device or the juice you will get a burnt taste.

That is why they're variable.

Well thats the thing, I wasn't using a lot of power, never went above 8 watts or the recommended +2 in VV mode. I think it was mostly because I was using samples with 18mg of nic when I am used to 6 or 0 and / or some of these tanks I have (protank, puritank, Mega tank) had a ton of flavor wicks on them. Noticed a big difference going down to 1.

I hope not, this isn't a vs thread or what is better. I know the provari is built better, will last longer, better service (although fast tech does give a 6 month warranty on the SVD). This is about the vape experience only. I liked what bad said, maybe I just need to go hold one. There is a B&M 10 min away from me that sells them , although they are sold out till mid week. I should have my SVD by then I can go do a true comparison then.

The provari is as good as everyone says it is. Seems lately though everything is being manufactured to "look best" on a flat top such as a mech mod, vamo, itaste and such. I myself wonder if provari will follow suit. So I'm watching for that. (Granted I already have one) But I have alot of attys that have me looking for a provari ring or something to fit flush over their beveled top.

Maybe someone can tell me the differences between the chips. Believe me, I've done so much research on the provari that its taken everything I can do to not press the final checkout button. To me, it sounds like the 33.3 vs the 800 thing would change the vaping experience, or am I wrong and there is some other issue about the two?

As a user of both, I'll be surprised if you don't like the vape from both. I'll be interested to hear...
