Really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks it's none of their business live your life in the way that works best for you and sod the rest of the world. Forums have gone from a place to chat with like minded people and enthuse about a common interest to places of groups each thinking they are superior to each other and looking down at anything that isn't their way. They are a joke really are and they just haven't realised it yet and then there is the emerging group of shame merchants there really aren't polite words for them so we'll leave it at that. You don't have to pay any attention to what anyone says about you it's just words spoken or typed and likely has an agenda anyway, you've cut down on the ciggies so vaping is working for you just not all the way and that's fine everyone's journey is different and yours is no less right then anyone else's.

I only recently started vaping (3 months), and am really struggling. When I can afford it I'm going to experiment with various pg vg ratios because vaping leaves me short of breath at 50/50. I'm hoping that's what it is anyway, but yea I'm still smoking too.

Took me over 2.5 years to stop (37 year habits don't just go away like that) and operated a lot like the op. I don't think of myself as a non-smoker yet and would never judge like that.

Especially if you don't want to quit. Every cigarette you don't smoke is a huge plus to your health, and every one you do smoke probably tastes great, lol.

But I'm glad I've been able to stop. Finally. For now anyway.

I don't understand what your trying to say , it's no big deal , carry on folks.
Just meant that people vape for all sorts of reasons. Some vape to quit smoking, some so they don't go back to smoking, some to cut down on how much they smoke, some never smoked to begin with but would rather vape than start smoking. All valid reasons, and I'm sure there are more.

Oh OK then it was definitely a misunderstanding , i agree 100%.

Okay, who is judging who?

I certainly have no problem with you working things out at your pace.

I hope you have no problem with me switching instantly? I had my reasons, just like you have yours and they are no one else concern. :D

By the way, I was a mid/heavy 45 yr. smoker......... Health/Family were my strength.

I was just wondering if there is anyone here like me. I was a smoker for 30 years and started vapeing about a year ago and am loving it. Only thing is, I'm still a smoker. I never got in to this as a replacement for cigarettes. Just another way to consume nicotine. Right now it's about 50/50, but I have cut back from 2 1/2 packs a day to a little less than one.
I'm not afraid to admit this and totally accept my addiction. I just sometimes fell like I don't belong in your world or in this forum. I can't seem to find anyone who still smokes like me. I know your out there, hiding, afraid of the ridicule you will get from all these clean lung vapers with there fancy ticking success banners. It's time to show yourselves and unite. Be
proud to be a Nicotine Sucking Dog!

I'd say you're doing damn good, from 2.5 packs to one is a hell of an achievement. Those damn things are addicting as ...... for some folks. I bet in the next year you'll be posting your down to zero smokes.

Have you tried to up the nicotine a LOT?....that was the only way I could cut the smokes. 24-36 mg nic will make hair grow where it never grew in the past...:)

Well congrats for cutting back on cigs, even though that wasn't your intention :) And even if you hadn't that would have been fine by me, too. Although for me smoking would be hard to do on top of vaping - I'd have a nicotine overload lol. But hey! As long as you are happy. This is a vaping forum, not an exclusively vaping-to-quit-smoking forum.

I agree. This is supposed to be to help you vape optimally and share experiences.

I have enjoyed a lot of support in my quest to stop smoking though. But I really wanted to stop for my own reasons - not somebody else's.

No no no no no no no! We must have conformity. While what you said looks good on paper, you can't have people running around all higgledy piggeldy doing whatever and whenever they want. That's how you end up like with things like the French or the Kardashians ... or a secretary of state presidential candidate sending out top secret emails on a private unsecure server, jeopardizing the rest of the country.

I still have a cig or two if really stressed or drunk and stressed. maybr once or twice a month. Otherwise in a normal mood with a sub ohm 30W set up with really delicious e-liquids, smoking isn't even nowhere near as enjoyable, I see no point to it whatever, when it's not as good as sub ohming a gourmet high VG juice and I know from 26 years of experience, will make my body feel like crap.

When I first started higher wattage vaping, I probably cut down 50/50 that was when I was using tobacco liquids to try and replicate as close to cigarette smoke as possible.

But then when I noticed which juices really worked for me, real tasty gourmet ones that sub ohming them at 30W was like smoking some sort of super luxury pipe tobacco or magic cigar with amazing flavours like creme brule or strawberry cookies, or moist cinnamon muffin with burnt sugar, and without any bad health effects, the lethargy, the high BP, general feeling of crap - I found it so much more pleasurable, I felt there was literally no point in picking up a cig.

After sub ohming good juice, you light a cig and can barely taste it and you feel frustrated that there is not 'enough vapour.' LOl.

Anyhow each to their own and progress rather than perfection, as others have said the less you smoke the more you 'win.'

I don't know what's worse, using a vaping forum to force your political views on people or using the phrase "higgledy piggeldy" in a sentence.

Wait till you get invited to HauntedMyst's political retraining death camp....err I mean happy fun time we have balloons camp. You'll be wishing you were French or a Kardashian. :thumb:
