please explain how the 20+ watt setups work and with what ohm range

I'm old and grumpy and like things simple...so use my mechanical mod with a 1.7 ohm tank or use the VAMO and go to 2.5 ohms....and I'm happy. But I keep reading about all these 20W and 30W mods and my old brain cant figure out what resistance carts..tanks what ever would you use at 20 watts? 30 Watts? Seems like a waste to have all that power and use it at lets just say 5 watts....but I have not seen people advertise super high ohm carts or tanks.

So can someone please explain how the mega watt setups work and with what ohm range ...thank you.

They are usually sub ohm set ups. 4 volt s@ .5 ohms. Would be 32 watts. Something like that would be set up using 28 gauge wire or less.

It's all about the wicking and airflow. Generally you will be using a rebuildable dripper or tank with the higher power levels. Bigger wick, bigger coil, bigger airholes than a typical consumer clearo or carto.
