Clearos are sooooooooo fiddly! I get so frustrated with them. But I have one flavor I love in a clearo- organic DIY Toffee, does not taste good in a carto for me, so I fiddle. I just tried a new 808 clearo tank the Triton that is less fiddly, so have been using it for a couple days. I find these things work best full to 2/3 full. Anything less & burning is inevitable and you have to do the twirly swirly dance on them to keep everything well wetted. I use top coils because I had nothing but trouble with bottom coils, they burned about 85% of the time. Hope you find something that works for you! brnk

Haha yeah it's definitely different. A little late for a disclaimer, but you'll have to fiddle with it a little. When I say the flavor is amazing, that was with a Ry4 juice that I thought was amazing. Right now I'm vaping some tobacco store trash juice and it's just 'meh'. The cotton brought out the flavor even more though and without
the scratchy irritation of silica.

I don't know how you're restricting the airflow, but I plug two of the four outside air channels and it seems to keep it from burning (1/4 works too). I originally liked the stock draw but it singes the wick. 4.2v and 2/4 channels plugged with a slow draw is the best flavor and throat hit I've gotten from it. There's a fine line between perfect and singing the wick though. Too slow=Singe, Too fast=Flood. With ball of course, lets a lot of juice in. YMMV

I also noticed there was a big difference between having a "flavor" wick or not (duh, right?). It almost seems like a flavor wick MUTES the flavor a bit, but I really need to mess with it side-by-side with another protank (with a good juice). Maybe it's just cooler vapor? My noob is showing

Boiling or not also makes a noticeable difference. I got lazy a few days ago...and yuck. To fix this I boiled a couple balls, dried them, and put them in the fridge in a zip-lock bag to keep anything from growing on them. Now I can just make a new wick in a couple minutes.

I'm glad it's at least not leaking on you! The expansion of cotton filling any gaps is a big plus.

Alright here's whAt I did. I rebuild the heads 3-4 of them for the vapeonly bcc and 2 for the kanger t3. Using 3 mm 100%cotton thread and 32gage kanthal. Then washed everything including the stock heads with original wick wire in 99 percent rubbing alcohol. Then I pulled everyThing from The alcohol dried iT and Then boiled iT in BriTa filTered waTer. I let everything all the parts I'm talking about even the vape only BCC containers drip tips bases silicone everything was washed and dried. I put one of the mega BCC's back together with the original silica wick that was washed and alcohol boiled in purified water inlet dried. So did with juicy peach then let it sit for 15 minutes give it a few puffs. After hAlf An hour puffing on the thing the sAme thing hAppened AgAin this is using the originAl heAd the sAme thing hAppened dry hits And old sucks flAvor for some kind of nothing plAstics flavor. I litteraly dunped it in my cartos tank and went ahhhh. After puffing it. I'm going to try the rewicked with cotton and 32 gaugekanthel t3. If my rewicked heads aren't up to par I'm goIng to buy the pro tank my local breaking mortor shop is getting them in on Wednesday and I have one on hold probably will get two. I buy two of everything to make sure that if something is bunk I can try the other one to be sure it's not just a fluke. Well in the five minutes in a screw my homemade rewicked coiled t3 together and give it a puff. If Its stIll not up to par. I'm just going to stick to cartos tanks to the pro tank comes in

Soory for the bad grammar i use talk to text and it screws up all the time. Still on the john and puffing ry4 out of a 3.5 ml cartos tank wishing it would taste like it did in my vape only bcc the fiest time i filled it and gave it a go.u know i feel like filling a clearo is a waste of frigging juice. Shure it will taste awsome for a hour but then Burnt hits dry hits and wierd plastic flavor. Not worth the efforts. When i get up off the toilet i will put together my t3 with the new head. 3mm washed and boiled cotton wick with a 5 wrap of 32 g kanthal wire. Will let you guys know how it goes. I realy want to love Thease things they look great and taste awsome when they work but for me they just dont want to work. Lol.

Ok ok. . . The head i rebuilt on the t3 as of right now is vapeing pretty damn good so far. . . 3mm cotton wick with a 5 wrap of 32 kanthal and two3 mm flavor wick on top. i have been puffing it for 10 min and so far so good. Loaded it with 1.5 ml of ry4 26 mg a little strong for me but it has been steeping for 3 days with the cap of so its ok. and i am getting pretty good flavor a little better than a cartos tank and no cotton flavor guess the boiling helped with that and my 5 wrap seems to be heating up just fine. I hope it can vape like this for the rest of the weekend because if it does rebuilding the heads may be the only way to go with bottom coils.

Will post again in a few to update on whether or not my rebuilt head is up to par on this t3.

the pile on the left is the clearos i have been tryto get working. You can see the heads i rebuilt on the left in a pile and the stock heads on the right. The napkin on the right is my sh#t i know works with no fuss no fail. Thet 5ml smoketech carto tank is my go to vape as of now because its so damn reliable and i know exactly how my juice will taste. The the gear on the left is wasted money as of now lol. We will see if i can get thease clearomizers working right. We will see

a crapy pic of the rebuilt kanger head i am using. I have been vaping ry4 out of it for bout a half hour now and its going pretty good. Still has great flavor and no cotton taste and i have not had a burnt hit yet. Yet is the key word. So far so good



seems the kangers and vape onlys i bought will only works properly with a rbuilt head. Doesn't seem worth the money cause i wanted it to work right out of the box and not have to fiddle with it to find the right way to make it work. If that was my goal ibwould have just bought a aga-t or a genisis clone.

I am still going to buy 2 pro tanks and god help me if they dont work out the box the way they are suppose to i will give all my clearos away 2 kangers 2 vape only and the 2 protanks then just buy that aga-t from the guy who hangs out at my b&m shop.


Next is decision is if i want to put it on a i taste mvp or smoketech grove or provari.

Hi Roger I had the same problem and did a search on here and found this. Take a few draws before you vape, it will help get the liquid back into the wick and on the coil. It worked for me hope it helps Burnt dry hits are awful

I have been giving them primer puffs and so far the only clearomizer that is workinv is my rebuilt kanger t three. The vape onlys no matter what i do or how i rebuilt them just give me an awful dry hit or plastic taste after a few minutes of vaping. (i just tested out both vape onlys wiyh 2 different heads each and i am just wasting juice trying to get them to work so i am done with them) i just filled my second kanger t 3 up with juicy peach 12mg 50/50. And am going to give it a vape in a min as of now the rebuilt kanger is working good and gives great vape production with pretty goodd flavor. I gave up on the vape only bcc mega. Will give them away soon. Hope the kanger protanks work great out of the box. If not i am just going to move on to rba's.

So the kangers work when rebuilt and vape a litle beter than cartomizer tanks and have slight better flavor but The vapeonly sucks and is a waste of money in my opinion.

Going to keep puffing this t3 for a wile and see if it last and holds up to standard. If it does it will be my daylie vape and i can just rebuild it when it fails. Until my 2 protanks come in. Until then i am satified with the rebuilt t3 and disapointed in the vapeonly.

Your experience is pretty much what I've gotten from CE7s. I spend more time clearing the airway and cleaning them out than I do vaping. They leak, flood, gurgle, spit juice into my mouth, and always leave a pool where I set them down. I'm about ready to throw them in the trash. But my T2s are (so far) utterly reliable, easy to clean, always vape well. It's a far better design IMO.

Today I tried a down-and-dirty rebuild on a CE7. I removed the silicone tip and wound a piece of packing from a carto around the top of the head, held in place with a small rubber band. I was thinking it might keep it from flooding all the time. It didn't. I called the B&M where I bought 'em, and he said mine are "old style," and offered to swap them out for me. Can't say no to that...but in the future I'll stick with T2s.

Update bolth kangers are vaping pretty damn good but not the way i expected them to from all the hype and to get them that way i had to do a lotofwork so i wont be buying another one. And the vapeonly bcc is out of the question i wont even recomend that pos to anyone lol.

I am running ry4 50/50 26mg in one And juicy peach 50/50 12mg in the other vaping back and forth. Almost chain vaping and aside from a few primer puffs hear or there they work good.

Looking foward to the protanks. Anyone have an honest opinion on how they work out of the box. I want to hear a verry honest opinion ups and downs. And how they work rebuilt also. Even if they are worth buying. I am a chain vapor and need something that has great flavor and good vapor production that i can use as my daily vape but want something that has a better flavor than cart tanks but it as reliable.

I have a protank. No opinion on out of the box vape, don't like the silica. Put cotton in super easy because the coil isn't choking the wick. Very good vapor production and flavor, especially with ry4! I had used a ce5/stardust before the protank, but feel like I finally lost my vaping virginity to the Protank+cotton+ry4. Oh mah gerd.

It's been dropped 2 times now. Once on concrete and once on tile floor. No leaks, no cracks, still glued together strong. =worth every penny.

Thanks i will pick up 2 tomorrow morning. !!! Its a great 8 mile bike ride through some curvy backroads wooded arias to my local b&m shop and the protank is coming in this morning. I already sanded down and polished my 1000mah ego upgrade battery so it will match lol. Looks nicer than it did black.

Also the kanger t3 i recoiled is going strong after 3 days and multiple tanks of juice including flavor swaps and dry burns. Ran ry4 and now black berry through it still puffing like a champ. I am sold on cotton wicks now and will use them on all my rebuilds they wick a lot better and once you boil them 2* at least to get the cotton favor out they losen up and wick like nobodys f in buisness. Got to double boil though.

will revirw the protank as soon as i have vaped it for a lily wile. I am sure i will find something i dont like about itvand have to mod. Lol


as for the vape only. . . Imho its friggin trash lol giving bolth and all the heads away. To anyone who wants them take it as is though. P.o.s.

2 vape only bcc megas. Just need to be cleaned
vape only bcc heads 8 of them 5 2.5ohm 2 2.2 ohm and 1 1.8 ohm half rebuilt half not.
1 3.5ml smoketech carto tank that has been modded to use non flanged standard cartos
1 spare stock tank for non flanged or flanged longer tank cartos
1 spare set of o rings for tank

modded by using 2 top caps so no need for flanged cartos but they will still work
modded tank is cut down and sanded smooth by 1/4 inch to allow use of standard cartos punched or slotted
stock tank included so dct cartos dont stick way out. Lol

first poster who wants this no longer used equipment gets it. As long as they dont mind contacting me with a mailing address.


cotton wick included yes it was double boiled. That round thing is a dime for size comparisons. Not included lol.

That's great that it's workin for you! Just remember to restrict the airflow on the protank or it will singe the wick. At the very least throw some tape over one of the four air inlets (on the outside), or use a finger.

Oh and about the airflow issue lol. I have a machine shop. . . !!!! My plan is to drill out one or all of the holes and then tap then to take asmall set screw that will be cut in taper as so to be able to adjust the flow of air by screwing it in or out with an eyeglasses screwdriver.

Out will open the air chanel and in will close it off they will be verry small and inset so you wont even see them unless you are looking for it.

Yes the whole 9yards a bridgeport cnc miller a manual miller and a digital readout manual lathe. Pluss a suface plate and inspection equipment. Litteraly everthing you would need to make anything you want.
