So I received my protank 2 mini in the mail about 2 weeks ago and I kept getting a burnt taste. I ordered new coils and am still getting a burnt taste. How can this be with different coils?
I had a problem with a protank 2 mini that I recieved. Turns out that it was a bad clone. The base slots were not wide enough to let the liquid seep through and it was giving me really bad dry hits. I sent it back to the vendor for a refund.
Probably a wicking issue. I've used a variety of protanks and I don't think they do well at all with high VG. You can try pulling the flavor wick from the head and see if it works any better. Otherwise I'd suggest thinning or using some juice with more PG in it. Heck I run 50/50 and get occasional burned hits with the 1.8 coils above 3.8v so getting them with that combination doesn't surprise me. I personally like the 2.2s. I use to be a huge ProTank fan but have gotten into dripping but still sorry to hear about your problems. You have already gotten your question answered but i just wanted to welcome you to ecf. Good luck to ya and I hope to read future posts from ya about happy vaping. It is wonderful to have a place to go for help. Can't tell you how many times someone has helped me. Wonderful people here.
Man you guys are awsome for all the help. I ran it on a vamo v3 trying different watts and still the same. Maybe I will pull the wick and try it. This may be a really silly question but can your drip a protank?
