So I have been using Single Coil 3 ohm smoktek cartos in my DCTank on my Lavatube with no problems for weeks. Great vapor production, no muted flavor, nice warm vapor.

So yesterday I noticed some flooding and bad taste, and figured hey it was time to replace the carto anyway. I replaced it the same way I always do, by dripping onto the carto filler and then filling the tank. All I got all day and night was a burnt taste and crappy vapor production. So last night I tried widening the punched holes thinking the carto was just dry, which didn't help hardlyu at all. I tried replacing the carto with another new one and it isn't working.

Please help I have just about 5 months without analogs and am about to bum one off a coworker.

I was hoping for help getting the carto to work correctly in the tank. I still have another spare carto and six more on order, but went through 2 spares last night trying to get it to work. I am really trying to NOT smoke an analog if you know what I mean. Tried priming the carto by wiggling the top of the tank cap off and on a bit and it flooded.

Make sure your getting your carto full and you might try dialing down your LT a notch or two till the new carto gets going real good. I have to do that sometime on my provari with a new carto. Also, when you get that burnt taste you may have to pull off your driptip and put in a couple drops of juice. Sounds like your carto isn't staying wet from the holes in the tank. Dont give up and go back to the cigs though. Worst case scenerio take off the tank and use your carto without it. Good luck.

I'm very visual. If I could see it, I could help better. But, here goes...

Remove that carto. (Pour your excess liquid into something clean. No sense wasting it.) Take the carto in your hand and gently blow through the mouthpart. You want to have a napkin or tissue under it so you don't blow e-liquid all over the place. Keep blowing gently until there is no more liquid. Reinsert it back into the tank. Fill your tank about halfway without getting any more liquid in that carto. Double check to make sure the bottom is dry, as you don't want that sitting on your battery. Crank that voltage to 6.0 and gently try again. (Go easy, I don't want you to get a mouthful of e-liquid.)

This has worked for me. I hope it works for you. I use a Lavatube and ran into the same kind of trouble with the triple punched cartos.

Don't worry so much about your voltage, the Lavatube is made to adjust to what you are using. If it can't handle 6.0, the Lavatube display will lie and say 6.0, but it was automatically adjust. Safety features...gotta love 'em.

Thank you all for the replies. I was able to get it working and avoid having an analog. I tried the suggestion from LeDean and jnnfrlsw but I may have dented the carto slightly when trying to widen the pre-punched holes. I ended up putting on the last replacement carto I had, dripping into the filler, filling the tank, then pulling on the cap to force the carto to suck up the juice.

Back to blowing out clouds and not being so irritable! Thanks! :D
