ok so i have been vaping about a month now and by prowling aorund this forums i found viking vapor... first order was 24 mg 90%pg 10% vg .. i didnt love all the flavors i got but the ones i liked i def loved.. caramel, caramel machiatto, cherry, and strawberry cream soda...

after noticing i vape alot more than i used to smoke and getting abit nervous about getting headaches and feeling a bit shaky.. i decided to cut down my nicotene content to 18 mg...

on some advice from someone else from a forum who told me it was not a good idea to get pg vg mix (i use standard made carts and have no mods on my pc) i was having some flooding and loss of flavor issues as well as every few days getting a burmt taste...

so i oredered my favs caramel, caramel machiatto, cherry and strawberry cream soda 18mg pure pg

uggghhh now caramel has nooo flavor whatsoever (this was becoming my fav of them all) cherry is a bit weeker flavor .. strawberry cream soda is a bit weaker (caramel machiotto is about same flavor it was really really strong to begin with i was usually mixing it with more caramel anyway

but all juices now have barely any vapor and or throut hit at all!!!!:-x

i know pg doesnt have as much vapor, and i know nic level can bring down throat hit.. but this is a drastic change!!! i dont want to stay at 24 mg any suggestions????

Try mixing small amounts of the same flavors, half 24mg and half 18mg to balance out around 21mg - see if it doesn't help?

So many different combinations/permutations of nic/pg/vg levels - no one solution for all. Since you have all of those around, that's what I would try for a quick fix. If you're using carts/attys, you can try dripping a couple drops of each (alternating) into the cart - vape a bit, and see if it helps any. Or you can also try dripping a drop of each onto the atty and then see - without filling up a cart.

Try that and maybe pull the fuzz out of the cart to use as a mouthpiece. Ghetto drip tip, That's how I roll :vapor:

yes i have a 3 piece ion ... not sure how to drip with this thing all the bottles i have are pretty short fat tips and with this atty its enclosed in a casing.. dont know how i would do it and be sure i was actually getting it on the bridge.. unfortunatly ive used all of the 24mg pg vg mix i had left.... if the steeping is the issue how long should i wait?? ... im not neccesarily looking for a quick fix for now but what i should try next as far as stick with pg vg mix? but reduce to 18 mg?? is a 90% 10% vg mix really going to make that much of a difference as far as clogging my atty?

You could try going to 18mg and see if that works. It sounds like 24mg could be a little too much for you. I wouldn't dump your 24mg, though. I vape both strengths. 24mg is for when I can't vape freely and 18mg is for when I'm at home and can vape my head off.

Whoever told you not to mix PG/VG needs to be smacked upside his/her head. Experiment and find a mix that you like. VG is going to give you more vapor, but it can dull some flavors. PG is thinner and will give you more throat hit (TH.) I usually go with a 50/50 mix, but will sometimes go with a 60PG/40VG mix.

If you haven't been vaping for very long your taste buds could still be recovering. Loss of taste can also happen when you vape one flavor a lot more than others. You just get used to the flavor so it seems to "lose its flavor." Switch to another flavor for a little bit and see if that helps. You can also try eating a small piece of bread or a little sorbet, or drinking some water (which you should be doing anyway) to see if that clears your palate.

It's already been mentioned, but I'll second letting your juice steep for a few days and then trying them again. This is going to especially be true for juices that aren't made until you order them.

I know this is probably frustrating for you, but just keep experimenting. I promise you'll find your "sweet spot" and it will all be worth it.

Vape On!

thanx womanof heart!!! that was alot of help... well guess ill just make a order of some small bottles with 24 and 18 mg but stick with my 90% pg and 10% vg i was loving it .. i think with the sweeter vg juice it was making my caramel that much better... i admit i was veeerrryyy verrry frustrated but at least now i feel like there is still hope lol...

as far as being told not to use mixes.. i was told because i use standard carts standard atty's with no mods that it wasnt a good idea that people who get away with using mixes are doing things to their attys to prevent having too many problems with flooding clogging ect.. i had a feeling they were full of crap but being a noob i took the advice

Flooding is only going to happen when there's more juice in your atty than it can handle. If you hear gurgling and you're not getting any vapor, then it's flooded. Take it off, blow out the excess, put it back on and try again. If it sizzles and you get vapor, then you're in business!

Blowing out your atty once in a while is just good maintenance. You can also try giving your attys a soak in 91% Isopropyl Alcohol and letting them dry overnight. Don't worry. Iso Alc evaporates completely, so you won't be vaping it and it's a great antibacterial!

Once you get a little more comfortable, you can try de-wicking your attys. You'll be able to drip and still use carts with them, but you won't have a wick to gum things up and wreck the taste of your juice.

Somebody said not to mix pg and vg? Odd. Mixes are very popular. Ratios like 70/30 and 80/20 and some like 50/50. VG is a bit thicker. I would think if anything, adding some VG would help prevent leaks as opposed to all thin PG.

I find pure PG harsh and irritating to my tongue. PG is supposed to carry flavor better but I think a bit of VG makes the vape a bit smoother and more enjoyable for me. I like 70/30 and want to try 80/20 and 50/50.

Re flavors - if they are from a US mixer, sometimes to happen to get ones made with fresh flavors that they just received and sometimes those juices have to steep (leave with cover off overnight or longer, try again, steep longer if still harsher or perfumey).
