PG generally is associated with throat hit, while VG is associated with more vapor, "lung hit".
There's nothing wrong with having both PG and VG in juice, as long as you aren't sensitive to one or the other. A lot of people tend towards about 80% PG/20% VG.
More VG = more likely to clog atties, overall, as the juice is thicker.
For higher VG %, or "all VG" (nominally) mixes, a lot of people add a bit of distilled water or pure grain alcohol (PGA) to thin it out; PGA is supposed to also add a bit to throat hit.
Double flavor is an option, if your vendors provide it. If you vape tobacco flavors you might want to pick up a small bottle of perfumers apprentice Tobacco Absolute diluted (diluted = diluted with PGA). Just a drop or two per 10 ml added to a tobacco liquid can really perk it up.
