Hello all,

I've lurker for awhile here and just joined. I'm having issues with everything I own now and it's driving me to desperation. At this point it is almost worth it to go back to analogs because everything I have either isn't working properly or is breaking.

I have;
1 Ego-t 900 mah battery from one local place. It has a hole on the connector plate in the middle where you screw on the atomizer, which is unlike my...
2 Ego style 900 mah batteries I got from another place (one of which I broke today), which have flat surface connector plate...thingy's.
1 SmokTech Zmax, which I've had issues with before but figured out.
1 Vivi Nova that stopped working when I started buying new heads. The wicks burn out instantly on this one.
1 Vivi Nova I bought from another place that seems to be working just fine, and they sort out the heads/wicks they get to match each tank because the distributors send different ones for some reason.
2 bigger size cartomizers that have the clear tanks around them and the screw on bottom cap that keeps it from pulling out.
3 or 4 Kanger t3 clearomizers that all burn out extremely quickly, and or leak on every battery I put them on.

So, those are my issues. almost everything I own breaks or has excessive, and I mean really excessive leaking, all of my Kangers and one of my Vivi Novas burn out wicks almost daily, I broke a battery trying to get a Vivi that was stuck on there today, the only thing I have found to be consistent is my large carto things with my zmax...and even that is a shot in the dark sometimes.

I need a solution. I am not made of money, and I would like a consistent vaping experience. I understand having to change wicks, some leaking, refilling, etc, but this is ridiculous. I would love to get more into this, and start checking out rebuildables, maybe get an evic or a provari, check out the Drunker tank, but if all of my tanks and clearos leak and burn out almost instantly, I will be bankrupt and back to cigarettes before I know it. I apologize if I'm not being clear enough or breaking a forum rule or something (I just read them and I don't think I am), I'm also having trouble navigating this site very well to post. I just need help bigtime. Thanks.

One of two things with the batteries.
1 - Either juice has leaked into them causing shorts
2 - You may have screwed the attachments on too tight causing shorts. You only want to screw thing on until you feel them make contact. This can mess up batteries and mods quicker than anything.

As far as the leaking, you can have a seal that is not lined up correctly and make sure when you put a new head on you have them screwed in tight on Kangers or Vivi Novas. On the Novas make sure the little rubber piece is on the top. That's all I can think of for the leaking. Maybe someone else can chime in.

Thank you.

How do I clean my SmokTech? The crevices are hard to get to...

I always make sure they are on tight and they still leak... So my problems with wick burnouts and leaking with everything remain. I just put my new Vivi on both my ego and Zmax and it seems to work fine. I think the shop I went to was telling the truth about the different heads/wicks and how they are all sold indiscriminately when some are different. So I think one of my Vivi's is working, and the place down the road I go to has been selling crap products for way too much. But as far as everything else other than that one Vivi... I still have a problem. Are there any tanks or cartos that you'd particularly recommend as far as consistency and longevity?

Sounds like you might be having some knock off compatibility issues. I learned quickly there are a lot of imitations on the market and ...... away a nice chunk of cash learning that they don't all work together. As far as burning up attys on multiple tanks/cartos, you must be getting some bunk batteries. Your tank should never be "stuck" on your battery...never screw it in more than finger tight.....destroyed my only charger learning that lesson....3 days of cigarettes was a nightmare, but I wasn't going to buy 2 weeks worth of patches to wait on the mail. As for the massive leaking, I have no experience with the kangers, but my vivi nova and stardust clearos never leaked. The disposables are exactly that....bound for the trash. If you want a sweet, worry free setup that won't break the bank, get a brand name Joyetech Ego battery, or a disclosed similar knockoff with a good reputation, and some type of rebuildable atty/tank system. I like my Novas so far mostly for the price....couple that with 100ft of kanthal a1 for 10 bucks and god knows how much sugar and cream cotton yarn for 1.99 and you will have a setup that will make you never wanna see a cigarette again, much less actually purchase one and put that filth in your body.

I'm thinking this is mostly the problem. Because now that I think about it, I got a vivi from one place and I used the stock wicks, but then the (terrible) place that sold it to me is using knock-off heads/wicks I think, because they are all slightly different. And my Kanger wicks I bought were from a seperate place that I bought the T3's at, so that might be the issue there too. Because I bought a vivi knockoff from a good place, and it is working fine. But the vendor told me that they get sent all kinds of different wicks and have to separate them specifically to know which vivi wick goes with which vivi tank.

I learned to stay away from local shops... They all seem to sell the cheapest stuff they can piece together....I guess I don't live in a very competitive market....any reputable online dealer will either say, "this is a genuine so and so product", or they will clearly say it is not a brand name product, and warn you that certain parts won't be compatible. Check the gotvapes website for an example of this. I got my last ego battery from MyFreedomSmokes and they say it is a genuine joyetech product and when it arrived, it was obvious compared to my remaining knock off from a local starter kit...one battery ate it after 3 weeks....we'll see how long the other lasts.
