Personally dripping is very dry to me. In my Reo, Dibi and my PT1 with rebuilt heads the vapor is juicier somehow, wetter...When I drip I have to drink water after every draw of vape, on the others I just drink like normal. (Which is a lot but with dripping it triples...) And as a result the flavors are much less tasty as it's like eating dry Kool Ade powder (drippers) verses drinking a glass of Kool Ade made up in water (Reo, Dibi, PT1). Again YMMV.

I don't know, maybe because the dripper attys I have are more wide open and larger than the RM2 or my Igo l? Or maybe I'm just weird?

Dripping was like that for me too at first. Really dry and harsh. I was using a Igo w5. Blotto sent along some tips to get me rolling and now I drip like a fool. It could be the airholes. It could be the fresh cotton thats causing the dryness. Or it could be that youre just weird :D

I'm betting the last one as I can run a Reo and my Dibi and they are just fine but they are 1/3 the size of my castle and I have the air as closed as I can get. So I'm betting weird...

Get a REO.
As a backup, get a Protank, but get Megan to send you some coils.
Forget who said it first, but definitely get one of these, even the unskilled (like me) and impatient (ditto) can wind a perfect contact coil every time without torching or squeezing:

I found that bigger airholes/more airflow are less harsh for me. One of my problems was the small holes on the Igo. The Zenith, Quasar and Magma have all been super smooth for me.

Meg, I figured out what your problem is...it's not that you're weird, not at all...

It's not harsh at all, just very dry in comparison to the others, like when I hit the others my mouth is coated with juicy vape but with my castle and nimmy my tongue and mouth are dry as the desert.

Just returned home after dropping ALL of my kiddos off for the day. I'm ready for some learnin'. I just watched Flavored's coil tool video, which was great! I'm going to do some research now. If you have pics/videos/info, send 'em! I'm up for three straight hours of doing nothing but THIS.

Thanks everyone!

Sounds like a nice day you've got planned my friend!

Good tutorial on building a microcoil for an RM2; same technique will work on any device more or less, as far as the coil is concerned. It's trickier on some devices to get the coil in place properly. and the wick in some devices is definitely trickier  But this will show you how the coil is done. I learned from watching RipTrippers rebuild a Protank 2, the video is here:

That first video was AWESOME! It really does look easy. I wish he had vaped on camera so I could see the cloud though.

oh and notice how he didn't make it look perfect? a lot of videos--IE Rip Trippers one--will torch the coil, etc and try to make it perfectly even. I do that myself but i love the video you just watched cause he shows it's not even necessary. it's THAT easy and THAT fast to make a coil. especially for the RM2 on a REO

Megan...........Maybe I'm weird, but I use my REO as a dripper when the bottle empties..........lol I'll change the cotton, put on different juices w/ just taking off my drip tip and then drip it that way.......Hardly any of the juice drips down the hole, but if it does, that bottle was going to be taken out anyway. I think I get the best flavor that way and know what it will taste like in my REO! ;-)

what aspect, the vapor production?

that's the coil and wick just so you know - the resistance, wattage, etc. it's not the Protank. just making sure you don't equate the two and go with a PT because of the clouds he's blowing :)

edit - in fact tank wise I got much more vapor out of a KFL with the same build as i used in a PT. reason? more airflow i think. better taste, too

still pales to the REO on both fronts :2cool:

Its not necessary but as you progress and get more confident its definitely something you want to do. Either make them not touching but perfectly spaced, or squeezed together so theyre all uniform and touching.

Some folks on the Dibi thread vape unflavored juice and drip their chosen juice so they can switch flavors easily and with the unflavored they can vape a good long time until all the flavor is gone. Naki's blend is hogging my current Reo and I need to get a second one to do this with...
