Have you bought a Dibi?

No they are still not available & when they are it won't be for the public for a while.

I'm on the list but alas, it will be a while. More than likely sometime next year....:(

( P.S If you are getting that much mileage from the Trident, Take the Magma for a ride. That should last you all day!...;) )

What is it that affects the ohms? The number of times you wrap it?

Coil wrapping and ohms made easy. Just plug in the numbers and let the calculator do the computing for you.

I haven't read the entire thread, I stopped at your above post. I just want to give my experience.

I started out with the disposable ecigs and soon found out, through online searching, that there was way more to be had. I moved to an evod and clearomizer for a few weeks and that didn't cut it either. More searching led me to the protank. I mean, I can rebuild the protank right? Well, rebuilding the PT or any other such tank sucks. Yes it can be done, but in MY case, the results were so inconsistent that I soon grew tired of it. One out of every 5 or so builds would be perfect, but, more often than not, it just wasn't satisfying and constant leaking. I soon went back to buying disposable heads just so I wouldn't have to spend the time recoiling the protank. A big point to mention is that you are severely limited to the type of coil you use in something like the PT.

At the same time that I gave up on recoiling the PT, I bought an RSST genesis style atomizer. That's when I started really getting into the techinique of coil building. I absorbed as much information as I could from this site, other forums, and mainly youtube. I watched and still watch Grimm Green, Rip Trippers, PBusardo, vapingwithtwisted420, cloud50, and toddsreviews. They all have their different style and some might find a few abrasive (Rip Trippers, vapingwithtwisted420), but they all are knowledgeable and I gleaned a lot of good information from them. The RSST was good but it was during this time that the vaping community was moving from the genesis style tank to the rebuildable bottom coil tank (RBA) like the Kayfun, Russian, Taifun, etc. I bought a Kayfun lite clone for about 40 buck off of ebay and fell in love with it. True, it does have some cons and if the build isn't right, it will leak or give dry hits. But I searched and found the perfect build, which I posted a video of earlier in this thread. I love my Kayfun, I have two now, but am now going to progress into drippers. I'm still holding off on the REO or any other type of bottom fed box mod until I find out, on my own, if dripping is for me.

I love the guys on this forum, everybody is so wiling to help, but just realize that the REO is not the end all be all. There are other bottom fed box mods available, although, I believe the REO is the cheapest. And for everybody that loves the REO, there are just as many that don't like it.

Now some may say that they wished they would have just went straight to the REO and saved all the money they spent in getting to the REO, but to me it has been a journey and I have learned so much getting to where I am today. If you aren't interested in the journey, by all means, jump straight to the REO. If you don't like it, they only last for a day or two in the classies and you'll get pretty much what you paid for it. But if you want to learn what works and what doesn't, take a journey. If anything, you'll have backups if something ever breaks.

I do agree with most everybody here. You will get a much better vape expereince by progressing to an RBA or, if you want, an RDA. Ditch the clearomizers or Protank like atomizer.

Anyway, that's my :2c:

Just wanted to add since I didn't see anyone mention it- with the REO (or any RDA) the higher (height) the coil, the more throat hit- which I find too harsh for my liking. Lower gets you more flavor/vapor.

i thought the most flavor was obtained by positioning the coil directly with the airhole on the RM2. are you saying if i lower it, i'll have more flavor and vapor?
IF YOU SAY YES IT MAY BE THE END OF ME AS WE KNOW IT

where are those people? Never heard of anyone not liking a REO yet. there's no question it's the be-all-end-all for a lot of people, but not everybody? (I put a ? cause i don't see how not, but it's true, some people keep buying other things) not to negate any of the points in your incredible post, and you brought up some really good points I don't think had been brought up yet :) like being limited to the type of coil in a PT for example. important point for the OP to know :)

I like to read and research. My wife hates it, because I research everything. Yes, there are people that don't like the REO or any other BF mod or just box mods in general. Why? The bland looks and aesthetics of the mod. The lack of options with a BF mod. There are many really good and exceptional RDA's available that just cant be used or modded to fit a BF mod such as the REO. Or some people like regulated devices and the lack of VV or VW on the REO doesn't cut it for some. I'm not bashing it at all, and, as you say, it may very well be the end all be all for a lot of people. But a lot of people isn't everybody.

Alot of people dont like dripping. I would assume if you dont like dripping then a REO isnt for you. Although Megan just commented shes had a hard time enjoying dripping but loves the REO. Could just be her particular RDA though. Personally, Im glad I went through all the different levels of vaping. I like to tinker with things and figure out how they work so it gives my OCD a good workout lol. From cheap plastic clearos to a REO, Ive tried em all. Ive also found that just about every piece of vape gear can be resold with minimal monetary loss...so theres that :)

The lower the better. Just not so low as to restrict the air flow from getting under the coil. The ceramic deck on the RM2 makes this possible

no no fair enough brother :) I was just asking because it's the only device i've never heard a negative review on. you are wise to do so much research on everything. I do as well, but missed the negative reviews on this one. Preferring VV/VW is a definite cause to not do the REO train. I thought it would be a con to me, but now I don't at all see a personal use for VV/VW, or honestly anything else ever again. but some people also love variety, not just in juice but in other things related to vaping. that's TOTALLY fair - some people don't care about variety in flavor and prefer unflavored. I don't think I could ever do that...not after trying NT at least. but unflavored is the be all end all for a lot of people :)

I do just want to make sure that *everybody* following this thread knows, I am not hailing the REO as the be all end all for everybody, nor am I bashing other devices. even iClears - they got me off cigs, ICLEARS DID. They'll always have my gratitude for it. and as with any path in life at large, I humbly bow and respect whatever another individual chooses (less some terribly awful acts and lifestyles that harm other people). There are 2 reasons for my REO-gospel, and two reasons alone: 1) I think most people really should try it. it can be resold for almost the same price they paid if they don't like it. It instantly made vaping easier for me, more enjoyable for me, and, actually rendered everything else I've used radically subpar, and I'm pretty confident in saying I'll never buy anything other than REOs and NT juice from here on out. But that's because I don't enjoy tinkering with stuff. I hate it. I rolled my own cigs - the REO is no more tinkering than that was. I think a lot of people will experience the same euphoria it gives me, so I highly recommend it, but again, do not claim everyone will share my opinion at all. and 2) I think the REO family gospel is hilarious, can't help but hop in and have fun with it

So please, nobody think I'm being close minded or judgmental with other things, I'm not. but if *I* had realized how much it would transform vaping for me, then yes, I would have saved myself $$$ and a LOT of time by skipping to it. No regrets, and thank god I've got a lotta backups in case of vapocalypse - but I would've done it differently.

Peace, love, NT juice, and...sorry...REOs

then one of us will take it off her hands.

and she's more likely to find coil making too troublesome on a Protank.

HOWEVER I never realized, since i never dripped before Gothics the REO came into my life :hubba:, i had no idea you could get a dripper for as low as $10 or $15. even though I'm all about the REO, since she's never rebuilt, I'd actually recommend going that route maybe. it would be something she could keep for sampling flavors even when she moves onto something else for her primary device

FYI tho - to me and i think a lot of people, the dripping aspect of the REO isn't what I care about (though I do get it). it's ease of use, convenience, perfect hits every single time.

But highly recommending the OP doesn't do what I did, and get gung ho about a cheap $15 device (cough protank cough) and buy a bunch of them like I did. now I wish I only had one Protank instead of several. those other $15s added up and could have gone towards juice.

Building a coil is a basic skill every vaper should have. Even if you don't do it regularly, it's wise to have an ohms checker, Kanthal, cutters and other coil building stuff. Tastes and activities change, and she might not be doing it today but yes tomorrow. Here's my workhorse, cheap and esy to build

I paid for it 17 bucks, but you can get it for even less. The iGo W is even cheaper, and I've been considering the CLT for later...

wow, those drippers are really inexpensive, that's awesome. FYI to the OP - your MVP will work fine as an ohm checker, that's one less thing you need to buy :)
