I can't speak specifically for switcher but I have read several of his reviews of ikenvape's cartos. They have fusion cartos that are amazing and last longer than boges. I've been using a fusion with gorilla juice (diluted) since February 11th and it hasn't burned or lost flavor on me yet. I've put at least 8 mils of juice through it in that time (probably more). On the other hand, I had one I was using with boba's (also diluted) that lasted me from the 11th to the 19th before it burned up.

But...I don't use one carto all day every day. I go through 5 or 6 tanks with different flavors in a given day.

Ok, I think this has illuminated my problem quite well.....I'll try the 50/50 juice I'm getting in today and make sure it is good and soaked before even trying to vape.....then, if that's all good, I'll try punching a hole and see how that goes.....It'll be nice to finally get myself out of this pickle....Oh, we were supposed to get pickles!

i have been smoking for over 30 years with a couple years of that not smoking. i have been vaping for only 6 weeks. i have always had good taste buds. smoking for some reason has not killed them and i can taste things is food that some non smokers cannot.
i love the taste of boba and can live with a carto death every two to three days. switcher what carto are you using? If you have any suggestion for me they would be appreciate. i like to try new things.
Jeff,

I am going to pee on your parade first. 6 weeks of vaping don't give you taste buds, they are recovering but they are still not healthy, I cook I know. I smoked for 40+ years and thought I had a discerning palate, buahahahah I started to taste after a couple of months, reduced my salt intake by 90%, use sea salt vice iodised etc... my taste buds today are outstanding in comparison from when I started and even after 2 years, are still improving, as well as my sense of smell.

As a supplier I can't answer your question wrt best cartos, but I am sure if you shoot me a PM I'm allowed :)

I know this is totally off topic but I agree with Switcher here. My senses of smell and taste are always getting better. I know not everyone likes game meats but I never knew the true flavour of venison until recently... My god is it ever good.

Just a thought...
I use JokeSmoke in my tanks, and I've also punched and slotted my cartos and have never experienced any "off" flavours like you describe. Maybe the taste is coming from the tank itself? Maybe there is some residue left in the tank from it's manufacturing process maybe? What kind of end caps are on the tank? I've heard that if the end caps are made of non-anodized aluminum, it can impart some funky flavours into the juice.

Well, I can now report that my problems had to have been from vaping before the carto has been fully wicked through. Since you can't fill these cartos with the condom method, I must have just been too impatient and vaped before it was ready.

I got my new juice juice and tried it again. Filled the carto in the tank by putting tons through the top and bottom with a syringe and dripping.....then I stood it up sitting on a condom with juice sitting on top of it, it kept draining into the condom and I'd pour it back on top....then I thought of sticking in one of the plastic plugs you get in the bottom of boges.....held the juice in pretty well. Left it overnight and it was great today. Used the saddle valve to punch 2 holes in it....it works like a dream now.

I guess the moral of this story is to give it time to really get saturated before trying to vape it.

I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

Good to hear KF! I also learned that lesson, fortunately early on. I don't think you need to wait quite as long as you have though... I use a 100% VG mix that I created in my DCTs and only leave them to "soak" for ~15 minutes or so. I never use the condom method -- too messy IMHO. I drip into the filler until the juice starts dripping out the bottom, then lay on it's side for a few minutes, then add a few drops more until saturated, then lay on it's side again for a while longer. Always works well for me.
