I punch my tanks, and it does dent them a little, but I've never really had a problem with fitting. Just lube up the rings with a drop of juice first. And when I need to refill, I just slide the threaded side into the tank and do it that way. It actually works a lot better, and you can get more juice in the tank. Then just slide it back in place and wipe off the bottom. I'm sure that can take a toll on your connection over time though. I punch up to three holes in my cartos without leaking or fitting issues. It works great for me. At first, I was taking the cap off to fill, and putting the cap back on always caused horrendous flooding. Then I was sliding the carto down and filling from the top, and that worked, but only ever filled my tank about 60%. Doing it from the bottom, I can fill the tank completely, AND never have to remove my drip tip to fill. The only problem I ever have now is air flow. Because the connection on my Provari is flush with the top of the juice well, the tank will sit right on top and block air flow. But then I just slide the tank up ever so slightly and it's fixed. Does anybody else do this? Because it seems everywhere I look, people are sliding down and filling from the top.

Do you know what they are called on the site? Or do you need to special request the three holes?

I've seen them mentioned in the cartomizers forum but don't know where to get them in Canada specifically. I did a google search for "smoktech cartos 3 holes" and a bunch of vendors pop up with them in stock though. No need for special request as far as I can see.

A popular US site that has them is Madvapes.

Rec'd my Phiniac Tank Kit today (a first for super fast shipping from Phiniac):

Phiniac Tank Kit - Phiniac Rugged Pyrex Glass Tanks

The Siam hole puncher works like a charm, much better than the saddle valve and not much more cost wise. It lines up perfectly so no marking cartos and it's easier to control the size of the hole (there isn't always a sound, so I wait til it hits the carto and turn 4-5 times). And no distortion of the carto.

Put together a tank tonight in minutes. Easier to punch, easier to get in, easier to fill.

Sweet, I ordered the Tank Tools kit a few days ago when Phiniac offered me a free tank filler tool to try (they gave me $3 off the kit). Can't wait to get it :D

Oh Chelly I think you'll be quite happy. I punched the perfect hole, no dry hits, no gurgling. I'm now trying to get used to not topping up :). It's all good IMO, so far.

@aggo: what is the pg/vg ratio that you're using? If it has less than 40% vg, then your holes might be too big.
Can't remember offhand, plus I was mixing different juices. Even still, I'm fed up with the finickyness and fiddling with it all. Guess I'll stick with dripping, and use a Stardust when I'm on the go. Hmmm oh yeah I have that Vapemate I should try again, too.

I almost gave up on cartos in tanks also. Been up and down the common issues apparent many times and have researched these mysteries to death. I'm now of the view that slots, slits, holes, these are all secondary concerns to the real culprit that causes the most problems. Filler material. Specifically its quality and consistency in how it's manufactured/compacted. I've torn apart my problem cartos and the way the filler material is compacted ranges widely not only within the same brand or batch, but also as between individual cartos in the same package. This is not so apparent with the Kangers but mostly the Smok DC's and their comparatively peculiar filling.

Only 1 of my 7 ST DC's is what I would consider perfect. But let me state this perfection has given me the absolute best vape I've yet encountered. No flooding, no burnt taste, TONS of vapour and taste and no hint of carto filler taste overtones. So WHEN they work they can truly be worth it. Too bad about the inconsistencies. This is why I've ordered the FUSION 801 single coils. Several people have pointed me in this direction and I'm still impatiently awaiting delivery. Apparently the material they use in these particular ones is excellent and they are manufactured far more uniformly. So what I'm saying is don't give up. While elusive, that perfect vape from a carto/tank setup does indeed exist. I understand that for some this is too much hassle but I'm determined.

Maybe this is why I haven't experimented much, using only Boges. Nothing to compare them to, but no gripes so far.

Oh yeah, and I keep forgetting to mention (because I always have bad memory afterthoughts), one extra thing I like about the V2 hole punch, is that you can easily replace the screw. It will get dull. You can put any screw you want in it, well not any, limited by size, but still, a nice cheap feature.

Oh yeah, and I forgot again, I got a notification from Clouds of Vapor that the hole punch was in. I was waiting on Phiniac, looking for other places to purchase. It took a while. Grab them while you can.

I ordered the tank tool and carto punch from Phiniac about a week ago. I can rarely resist what appear to be clever designs at low prices. Nice to know they work well.

Almost felt guilty about it as I don't own a phiniac tank, nor intend to in the near future. They're just a little too wide and bulbous for my current tastes. I like tanks that are the same diameter as my mod for that sleeker look. Perhaps if Phiniac bring out some differently sized tanks one day.

It's not my main tank (6.5ml smoktech) but I love my Phiniac. I never would have thought about purchasing one, but when they came out with the custom sandblasting option, I was all over one. I will be purchasing the carto punch and filler tool. Love new gadgets!

Never had leaking or gurgling issues with any tank, only wicking problems with the pre-punched smoktechs, until I made the hole larger, or added a second smaller one. When I put a new XL carto in the tank, I only fill the carto about 1ml, that way when the pressure stabilizes, the filler absorbs the liquid.

I have all these wonderful kibble and bits laying around here at work and I think I have enough stuff to build a

DAd = (Dusty Adapter) for a saddle valve punching option. If it works out as intended and as the voices in my head have promised me, I will post some pics or video.

If it doesn't then I will edit this post to something like

I am the Lizard King ( but Lizard spellied LOSER ) :p

I think I have a solution for you Dusty :)

Yeah, I got mine just in time. She told me they had only a few left when I ordered and they'd be out for 3 weeks!

Here is explaination with video.

-Grab a piece of stainless steel hydraulic tubing ( assuming 3/8th's will get specs when back to work tomorrow )
-Mark it to length you wish it to be
-Slide Cartomizer into tube ( aka Dusty Adapter )
-Use Saddle Valve with cartomizer in Dusty adapter
-remove cartomizer
-Slide tank on
