Well looks like you are using an octopus rda which if its stock doesn't work very well. I assume you wrapped your coil above the airhole also check to see if there is a buildup of liquid in the airhole which can cause issues.

Yes...the coil is above the air hole. This RDA is new, but I will makes sure the hole is not clogged. We just got back and have a roll of sterilized cotton. I am gonna make a cotton wick and give it a try.

I want to thank you guys so much for your help. We may be zeroing in on a good result.

You should start over and wrap coils very tight like in link I gave you to make a micro coil and also do less cotton .Once you drip juice on it cotton will expand alot .
You want really tight coils that touch. That way they heat up quick and even .After re wrapping like in rebuild link check your ohms and fire it to make sure coil is heating correctly. After that wick it andmake sure your airhole is lined up and then get wick nice and wet and fire it up :)

thats an insane amount of coils for what looks to be a 3 or 4 mm thick wick.
the response time to full glow will be very slow.
if your trying for a micro coil it has to really be micro in diameter and all the coils pressed up to each other.

on a normal mod at normal voltages and resistances that much wire just wont cut it.

im not saying you cant get it to work, but it will never be efficient usually for a reg ohm coil around 1.7 to 2 ohms i use 4 or 5 wraps of 32 on a 3mm wick.

think of it this way, your coil area is 10 mm long and your airhole is 2mm wide. the heat is over the whole 10 mm area while the air is hitting maybe 2-3 coils, the airflow to heat is a direct ratio. you need a small or tight coil with as much airflow as possible flowing over it.. in the current setup you are roughly getting 1/5 of the vapor the coil can produce.

looking at your picture for example where the airjet is coming in is the only part that actually produces vapor output right now while the rest is being heated for no reason.

You want to use sterile cotton balls or cotton strips .You take off small piece to make the wick.Check out all of the steps in link I gave you and if you follow them you should be able to get it set up right :) You will get it man keep at it and if you get frustrated just take a break and then come back to it :thumb:

What appears in the picture looks like a semi-micro. It can be made with a diameter of a paper clip as what I have below.

1.7 ohms, 30 gauge kanthal. Very responsive. I wish I have a video to show.

sure with a true micro there is minimal heat sink effect but with every coil isolated by a big space on a wet wick there will be little to no response time with 11 wraps over 10 - 12mm area.

Sweet! Got it right this time.

Re-read the link provided and followed yall's advice. I made the coils tighter (holding wire under flame first made tis much easier) and positioned coil right above air hole. Great advice! I am enjoying a great vape session...

Man, I hope I can do it again!
Success! Glad to hear you got it man :) Just follow the same steps next time and after awhile it will be second nature my friend .
Lets see a pic !
