First I'd like to introduce my self, my name is Levisdaddy, i quit smoking 5 weeks ago, on the day when my son Levi was born! I've have been vaping ever since. Started with a green nicotine, but it didnt cut it, i would have began smoking again when i discovered this site. been reading this forum for a some time now and it greatly influenced my decision to purchase an ego-c starter kit. the troubleshoot manual I found to be of great assistance, and this forum has helped me to return to the store i purchased the kit to have them replace the center piece below the tank (the base?). Today I decided to pick up some new liquid and a V3 Clearomizer 2.4 (no LR in stock..), I had grown tired of refilling the cartridge on the ego, and thought this was an intelligent progression. At first i was disappointed with the drag, it pulls slower and it take more effort to get a decent hit. After several hours of use today, and i have used it somewhat heavily, it started to leave a residue on my tongue, with a mild sensation that the liquid was making its way into my mouth.. I did not experience this before with the reg cartridge, even my wife notices that it leaves almost a film on her tongue. My question is: should i desist using it? Where and how could it be leaking, and if it were, would i not notice in the mouth piece. When i wipe it out with paper towel I did notice on only one occasion that a small amount of liquid is in the mouth piece, but after heavy vaping it has not returned, though i still notice it on my tongue. What should i do, any suggestions>? please help, much thanks, look forward to your input and taking part in this wonderful medium for us recently freed of analogs. (smoked 14 years until last month) thank you!

Welcome to ECF , but not familiar with that particular model of EGO , but surely someone will post an answer for you . I use some different Ego's as back-ups, but I use Tanks , and stardust's , rather than the clearo's . Not had a problem like your describing .And look around and buy some LR versions of whatever , The SR take a lot more to get flavor and vapor from an EGO . Good Luck

thank you for your welcomes and suggestions.
Possibly you're drawing really hard because it's a standard resistance clearomizer?
i think you are right, i realize now that the clearomizer is a 2.8, not only was the saleswomen misinformed, but sold me the wrong product.
I would like to find an inexpensive LR ......? what should I use? I simply want a lot of vapor, something that holds at least 1.5ml so i dont have to bring liquid to work, and doesnt need to be replaced more than every two weeks (does such a thing exist?). Can you suggest, or are we allowed to hyperlink to a product that would meet this need? I only have two ego-c batts, so something compatible, and preferably between 5-10 dollars including the shipping? Am I being to picky? What do you suggest? And what would be the specific name of such a product, so that i can refer to it and research it directly, I feel like I missed my mark today with my purchase and wasted monies on a product i will not use once its dry... thank you again

Ego v3 clearly has Atty head in 1.8 ohm. You will have to look online. Healthcabin has them and I am sure other us venders. You can also get ego twist which is flexible with different ohm heads since they are vv. You can also try to loosen the screw on mouthpiece just a tag which should help with the drag. With the tight drag and perhaps a little overfilling you may pull some juice into your mouth. You may pull it all or the juice had drained back... Dunno

Hi LevisDaddy,

I also have one of these clearomizers and use it on my Ego battery. It is a bit tricky.
Firstly, when you attach the clearomizer to the battery, you can't tighten it fully as this closes up the air holes and makes it really hard to drag (bad design). I have to screw it on really loose.

As for the liquid getting into your mouth and the film on your tongue, you have to draw really slowly on it over several seconds otherwise you do run the risk of juice shooting out.

That's just my experience. A lot of people like these clearmizers but I'm not so impressed. I prefer my Kanger T2's. Far superior on vapor, draw and taste but have their own issues too.

i am looking into ordering one of these, kanger t2s, thank you for the idea.
after doing some reading on the forum, and several retail sites i found what seems to be the underlying problem. the blackberry liquid i put in the clearomizer is 70%vg, and is very thick. from what ive read the clearomizers prefer thin pg liquids, possibly this is the source of my discontent?

It's possible the liquid is too think. I've never used anything that high in VG, so I can't really comment on that.

I will say that on most of the stuff I've used, it's possible to draw liquid into your mouth by pulling too hard.

With a standard resistance thing on an eGo, you have to take a long drag to get it to do anything. Pulling harder won't help, it just pulls liquid through that hasn't been vaporized yet. So try that.

As for suggestions for stuff, I like my Ego Twist…it's an ego battery that's step up from what you have and is Variable Voltage…which allows you to run the coil hotter……which vaporizes liquid faster. It also winds up warmer and can burn juice if you go too high (not a serious concern with a 3ish Ohm device IMO).

As for things to put on it, I think the Vivi Nova (full size or mini) will almost fit what you want. They easily hold that much juice and (after they break in) work very well. The heads are cheap to replace (about $3 for a head from several vendors) and last at least a week. Getting 2 weeks out of them might be possible…IDK…I haven't tried. I've had mine a couple weeks and am only on the 2nd head……and I really didn't need to change away from the first one, I just didn't realize how easy they were to clean (just run water over them and dry them out) when I wanted to change flavors.

There's lots of stuff out there that works, but that's what's working for me right now.
