Hey Everyone,<br><br>Been smoking heavily for about 17 years and decided to quit smoking in August and bought myself a tornado-T eciggie as a starter pack to test out vaping. It actually worked and I managed to very quickly cut down on real cigs, and managed to completely quit after a week :)<br><br>I tried a few different flavors and bought myself a new spare battery, spare tank, coils for it etc. Everything was fine until friday :(<br><br>I had to go away for the weekend a long (5 hour train journey) and before I left I changed the coil and brought a bottle of e-liquid knowing that I had no worries at all.<br><br>Well ... halfway down my tornado failed, it was leaking liquid in my mouth and flooding (basically un-usable at all) I was in a complete panic for the first time in 4 months and had no option but to buy a pack of 10 real ciggies :( just to get me to where I was going. <br><br>The next day I went to the closest vape-shop I could find and decided to buy myself a better device, didn't have time to do proper research and couldn't really afford to spend to much so i bought a "Kamry Telescopic Storm Plus" after chatting to another vaper shopping there for stuff.<br><br><strong>The Problem : </strong><br><br>Since i bought it on Saturday I have had nothing but issues. I tried to fill it for the first time and it made a bubbling sound and liquid was ending up in my mouth and inside the drip tip and not making vapour properly. I tried using tissue to soak it out but it still kept flooding back in when i tried to vape. I didn't have time to sort this out(helping someone move house so very busy weekend) so left it and bought more real ciggies :( :( :(<br><br>Okay so i got back home on monday night and tried to solve this. I watched youtube videos and googled around and used the second free cartridge thing to have another go at filling it.<br><br>I managed to fill it and it "sort of" makes vapour. But it doesnt make as much as I am used to, the vapour doesnt have much flavour, and the throat hit just isn't there :( <br><br>I re-assembled my old tornado-T just to make sure and the difference is massive. And now the KTS has started making a bubbling sound and is filling up with liquid again!!! :( so back to using the tornado atm.<br><br>So instead of smashing it with a hammer I decided to make this post and ask you guys for some advice on what I have done wrong. I am assuming its just a problem with the cartridge things, and been trying to find some to buy but the amount of different options is overwhelming and worried about ordering the wrong ones.<br><br>Any help would be greatly appreciated :)<br><br>

You may want to just try taking the tank apart, giving it a good proper cleaning (minding the coil of course), and putting it all back together making sure everything goes together nice and snug. I looked up the X8 and are you taking the top off or using the little fill port on top? If nothing else, you may just want to go out and grab another tank if it is an option, you should be able to get a little bit better of a tank without spending a whole bunch of money. Hope you get it figured out and can stay away from the analogs!

Well first of all, when you start vaping the first few weeks and months are very critical concerning BACKUPS.

For me, my backup was disposable cigalikes.

If yu can find a disposable cigalike brand and model/strength that can replace tobacco cigarettes, available at some convenient location, that's your breakdown backup; meanwhile you can get one and leave in sealed package for emergency use.

Okay this is the bit i am so confused about, the tank is solid and cant be taken apart. It has a hole both ends. The "cartridge" goes in the middle and seals up the holes. So the tank is just a glass/plastic thing with fixed metal on both sides. The "cartridge" contains the atomizer/coils/wick whatever the word is to describe this. Also the X8 came with the device and seems to cost a lot of money(compared to the price of the whole device)

well the x8 would be the battery.

the tank sounds like a cartotank perhaps;
got any pics or links?

lots of stuff out there is generic types of stuff but rebranded, so if we see the item we'd recognize it.

Okay i googled to get a site with the exact package I bought from the vape shop >> vape-nation.co.uk/shop-page/4579601721/kamry-telescopic-storm-plus-%28kts-%29-kit/6713944

and here is a pic off of google of what my tank looks like >> whimwhamvapes.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/x8-Parts.jpg

I am thinking that the bit that is causing this trouble is the cartomizer? the thing i mistakenly refererred to in earlier posts as "cartridge" :D

If so could you suggest some good cartomizers that will work with the setup I have?
Um or is using the tank that came with this not the best option and i should buy some other kind of tank?
Still confused :(

Welcome aboard

"The "cartridge" contains the atomizer/coils/wick" = Cartomizer
The Tank with the Cartomizer installed = Cartomizer tank (Carto Tank)
The problem you have described is Flooding. This can be caused by improper filling, taking excessively hard draws, or a defective cartomizer.
The first thing to try is to replace the cartomizer.
Drain the juice from the tank. If you are very careful you can drain it back into the juice bottle it came from.
Remove and replace the cartomizer.

Refilling the Kamry X8 Cartomizer Tank

As mentioned, refilling is achieved through the small fill port at the top of the tank. If you're filling with a fresh cartomizer in the unit, I suggest also adding .5ml into the carto itself, taking care not to get juice down the centre hole of the carto of course. After this, replace the drip tip, let it sit for a minute and then take a few quick shallow draws on it while still disconnected from the battery, this will help "prime" the system.

Ok; that looks like a cartotank;
It takes a standard type of cartomizer; you can get cartomizers from smok, ikenvapes, and... a couple others.

The battery tube, unfortunately is a mech, so you won't be able to adjust voltage with it, so you'll need to choose your cartomizer resistance.

At some shops you can get prefilled carto's which you can screw directly onto the battery without the cartotank. The trouble is to get cartos with the correct threading. Alot of them use kr808 whereas most equipment nowadays uses 510 thead.

Hi Raww.

I can help you out with stuff if you are not fixed up.

What you have on your Kamry is an X8 tank. One can imagine what sort of trouble you have....it's a very cheap tank.

Vape Nation have sold you a KTS+ GG clone, I have one, it's mechanical. It might work for you, but I fear you've been given bad advice and overcharged as well.

The Kamry KTS+ is useful little mod to own though, so do not despair.

If you think the actual tank is useable, you can get replacement cartomizers here.

BOGE 510 CARTOMISER SS - Cartomizers

please feel free to ask anything....

Hey djsvapour,

Yes I have came to the same conclusion. :( basically i bought it in a hurry due to my ecig breaking while 500miles from home and having to smoke normal ciggies which i hated!!

lol and yesterday i went to a local vape shop and they suggested a nautilis tank, i looked on google it seemed okay so i bought it and at first it was fine then started causing problems, then it got abit better, then worse, then better GRRR, and now the charger from the KTS has stopped working and wont charge the batteries the green light just stays on constantly.

So atm I am using my original Tornado-T thing which so stupid after spending all this money. I really not sure its worth throwing any more money away on this.

Is there any device that you can suggest from personal experience that will work without these sort of problems? I will save up and buy it after christmas and just stick with the tornado until then i suppose.

Standard workhorse tank: miniprotank2v2.

It's eGo threaded, so you get less problems as a new vaper compared to starting with a 510 threaded tank.

Or for a complete kit, look for an mvp2 kit; they usually come with an iclear plastic tank which is ok to start with, then later on you can upgrade to a glass tank.
