Ok I quit smoking, with the help of my Vapor King, for 5 months. I went on a snowboarding trip and started back thinking I quit once I can do it again. Unfortunately the juice flavors are not tasty to me anymore and the effort to keep up and running seems like a major nuisance. I am sure the effort part is more from the power cigs hold over my brain but I really need to find a way to get back on track. Any suggestions are welcome.

just stop using analogs!

Not to sound harsh, but this really is the best advice. Whether it's ecigs or quitting altogether, you've got to want to move. For one reason or another, cigarettes still have some pull with you, and until you say "enough's enough" and ask yourself why, they'll continue to do so, no matter how tasty the vapor.

I understand what you are saying that is why I posted about it. I am just trying to find some advice on how to get myself back to the mental point of quitting.

Do you remember how you felt after years of smoking? What your teeth looked like? What your breathing was like? All those wonderful tastes you couldn't taste? All those smells you couldn't smell... including the smell of stale cigarettes on your own clothes?

What are you spending on cigarettes? What would you rather be spending that on?

Do you want to wait until you do something you can't reverse to try again?

Did you know that around the age of 30 is when you start doing permanent, irreversible damage to yourself from smoking? How old are you again?

Personally, I don't know how anyone, especially a (ex)smoker can tell you to "just quit." If it were that simple, none of us would be here. How quickly we forget when we're not the ones struggling.

But with the mindset in place, you can start the slow crawl back towards getting off cigarettes. And this time, hopefully you realize now that, for many of us, you can never undo addiction.

Try again. You deserve it.

Get up and try again.

This was ideally what I meant by "ask yourself why" from my post - an ounce of self-reflection is worth more than anything else in the world when it comes to motivation, and deep down, you know the questions you need to ask and what answers you need to make the right decision. That was all I meant to say.

Don't go snowboarding anymore! Like everyone else said, up your nic strength and get back on that horse. Seriously, after vaping for 5 months you went back to analogs? That must've tasted horrible and I bet you didn't feel good either.:)

There might have been massive amounts of alcohol involved and by the time I knew it the taste was normal. I think I might need to go back to some strong flavors as what I am stocked up on are more complex and mellow like strawberry cheesecake. I remember watermelon was the flavor that did the trick the first time so I will get some more of that and see where I get.

just a sarcastic old hillbilly's opinion ,,, and i even smoked corn silk as a kid

the tobacco plants have had millions of years to perfect an assault type type of defense by permanently corrupting the brains of it's enemies making them eat their poison until they die and thus terminating the enemies capability to reproduce a new generation of enemies, they have hooked you right through the brain. tobacco plants may be idiots but they have become very good at it!

but burning the leaves to breathe the smoke and causing cancer is a result of man's stupidity and proclivity to get "high", not the tobacco plant's aggression

BTW most insects now avoid tobacco plants but man has not learned that yet because the kill rate has against humans has not been high enough

You probably just need to use both vape and smoke until you're vaping more than smoking. Maybe bump up the nic level to 36 mg for a while or have some on hand when you get a nic craving. I started with 30 and 36 mg.

There's some cool stuff built since you've been around probably. Take a look at the different mods or new batteries.

Here's a word that may put you back on track, Paranoyed:

CANCER !!

And normally I'd say that never stopped anyone before, but I gotta agree now. I mean we can avoid that while doing something that I personally find more enjoyable than I enjoyed smoking. Anyone that has had success with vaping in the past has no excuse anymore! IMHO of course!
