Im new to the forum and pretty new to e cigs. I just bought my first ecig which is the nicstick starter kit. I love it so far but i noticed on the box it says i can only charge it up to 30 times so im wanting to order a new ecig that will last me and that i can charge over and over but i have no clue what to get or where to order it from, does anyone have any tips on a good first ecig thats around $50-$70?

Im a newbie too so take this with a grain of salt..... i just ordered the Riva 510 starter kit (2 big batteries , 2 atomizers , 10 empty carts and battery charger) 2 drip tips and 6 - 5mL bottles of juice for $50 including shipping from LibertyFlights. I havent tried it yet but the Riva seems to be well respected here. I also dont think you can beat the price.

Excellent advice. I'd throw in a box of cartomizers, but otherwise you are all set!

The only problem with the Ego is you will soon be looking for something better and you are locked in at 3.7 volts. The blemished Infinity is only $72.00 and then you will have all the voltage levels covered in one PV from 3.0 volt all the way up to 6 volt and anywhere in between. Plus your getting the best customer service in the industry. Just go to the notcig forum on ECF and read for yourself.

If your looking for something that has the feel/size to a real cigarette than a 510 or KRD808-1 kit would be a choice.
If you don't mind something a little bigger, than an ego or Riva would be a choice.
I started with 808's and 2-3 weeks switched to an ego.

Tonight ordered a mod from an EFC supplier.

Price was right, and I won't have to charge the batteries as often.

If nicstick can only be charged 30 times it sounds like a disposable. You need to buy a permanent ecig (well as permanent as they get - everything wears out). if you want something slim these are the best choices - the most recommended, best supported for accessories - I vape both of them.

Joye 510 w/ manual batteries (if you don't get manual you risk killing your batteries with juice drips) 2-3 hour charge for a light vaper

Joye 510 with mega xl manual batteries - 60% longer charge and makes it 138mm long w/ cart+atty, 128mm long with cartomizer

KR808D-1 (in colors too at Vapor4Life.com) w/ standard manual batteries - same charge life as Joye 510 mega xl and 120mm long

Of the two, the KR8 has a slightly hotter hit, the 510 tends to make more vapor

I agree on the Riva, you may or may not want to go to a mod after you start vaping, but the Riva/eGo is an inexpensive, solid starter kit that will help you make the decision whether vaping is a good fit for you. Many people upgrade to mods, but I'm happy with my Rivas and eGos and feel no pressing need to invest in a mod yet. I've been vaping over 7 months and I've only had one problem with a bad battery that was past the warranty date. Though I do have to say that I wish I would have started out with LR atties and cartos. One of the hard things about beginning to vape is that everyone's preferences are different and we can give opinions and options based on our experiences, but it does take a bit of time to find your own sweet spot. However, with a riva/ego, the start up is less and you'll have more money to explore juices, atties and cartos which are the real pains.

I am also new to vaping in this attempt. I tried an e-cig about 2 years ago and it did nothing for me. Well this time i got a kr808d-1 from vapor for life and i havent had an analog in over a week. I was surprised that my new e cig was able to kill my 2 pack a day 24 year habit. Anyways my point is i am now going to try an ego. Already ordered and on its way. Got a little tired of my batteries dying on me.

At first its all about finding the batt style, you like best. I started with the ego, but found the analog feel was important, so went with the kr808d-1. It doesnt need as low ohm on the carto as the ego does. Gives a better hit. Once you got the batt down, its all about experimenting with performance of attys and cartos.
Vaporsetc has a plethera of different cartomizers to choose from. Both high and low ohm and diff manufacturers. High ohm gets the flavour through better and low gives a stronger hit.
You can get both 510(ego riva etc) threads and kr8 with cartos, so no matter witch you choose, you have alot of options. Since its all down to personal performance its onlu by trying all, you find out whats for you.
Egos and rivas, require you can leave the analog feel behind you. I couldnt do that, but they are some very dependable units.
