So I just got a new vape from my friend , it's a sigelei 30w mini and he says that everything is just fine but needs the coil to be done . I TRIED doing it and noticed that there's only 1 screw and that's the middle so I didn't bother . I used a normal metal wire and tried it . It kept on saying

Low Res! ( happens every time ) then once it says firing for like 1 sec or less it says SHORT

•Short
•CHECK BAT
And in some cases •Check automizer

This keeps passing me off and I don't really know how to work this out. I tried doing it like the guys in youtube but it kept showing those info on the display ..

Help

I don't know really ?? It says like 0.1 and rare 0.2 just got this and didn't know what to do
The Sigelei 30 watt can't fire a coil that low. It will only accept a coil 0.5Ω and higher.

Can can use Steam Engine (a coiling calculator) to figure out how to build a higher Ω coil.

You must use A1 Kanthal or NiChrome wire. You need to know the gauge of wire you are using and the size of the tool you are using to wrap the coil around.

Sounds equally likely to be a plain short than a below minimum resistance reading but it's hard to say without more information...

What do you mean there's only one screw? And what are you trying to build on; what is the heating element?

Also what do you mean by "normal" metal wire?

Sorry if it comes off as harsh but this is exactly the kind of stuff people shouldn't be doing before doing some real research.

Take it to the nearest vape shop. And see if they'll put an appropriate build in it for you. While they're putting it in ask a bunch of questions. It's not as hard as it seems to grasp the concepts but it will require some effort. Good Luck - David

You are going to endanger yourself if you keep this up. Immediately stop whatever you're doing and go to a good vape shop and have an experienced coil builder there walk you through it. Failing that, send us pictures and detailed information on the atomizer you're trying to build on and we'll try to help.

it doesnt basically have a tank , its just like the mouth piece itself , so i have to like drip 1 or 2 times after i vape again
That's a RDA (rebuildable dripping atomizer) sometimes called a dripper.

Does yours have 3 posts, like this one? The center pin is positive and the outer posts are negative. If you are building a single coil one of the wires (of the coil) has to go in positive post (and tighten down the screw) and the other has to go in one of the negative posts (and tighten down the screw).

What ohms does the build come out to?

What tank/dripper are you using?

This is more than likely because the 30 watt cant handle builds that low. If i were you, Id do a build that reads close to 1.0ohms. What wire and atomizer are you using?

no neg post screw? you might want to get one of those, if the wire isnt making contact proper it will be all over the place and likely not read at all

Yes, please go to a vape shop and ask for help! It's not safe to do these things with no knowledge of what you are doing. I'm sorry to be blunt, but I would hate to see you on the news. :(

I really hope nothing blew up on OP...

mostly kidding. at least there's a chip in the sig.

Sorry, that is not how you coil a tank. Also are you using ordinary household wire? That is what it seems like from your post.

You should stop now and get a better grasp of what you are trying to do before continuing.
Yeah HouseHold stuff , i tried to coil it the original way and like the organized way . Didn't work so i messed the living crap out of it and still doesn't work

Oh no....just no. That's just shot bro. You must upgrade immediately. That rigs not safe at all. Please smack your buddy next visit. Geez. Still a good vape shop could probably revive that zombified RDA.
:( but is it still use-able tho ? Can't smack the guy who gave it to me for free ;) . And as i mentioned before i can't access a vape shop in my area / country
