Where do you get your DIY nicotine, PG, VG, etc.. from? And thanks for taking the time to respond
I get mine from Heartland Vapes Nicotine Liquid - Vegetable Glycerin - Flavorings -Wholesale and DIY Heartlandvapes Wholesale They tend to have the best prices around and shipping is free over $50, just get their houseblend which is $44.99/liter ($42.99 ea for 4) and right now I think they are running a 15% off sale, not sure if you need a coupon code for that or not. If you need a coupon code, just ask in this thread and someone will let you know: Are you done stocking up? I get my PG/VG from them as well because I take advantage of the free shipping... They sell it in liter and gallon bottles, I would get the gallon just for the savings on the shipping. No need to seriously stock up on VG/PG though because you will always be able to get that.

EDIT: I just checked that thread and there is no code needed, it will be deducted at checkout. So it would come to $38.24/liter or $36.54 ea for 4.

Ok I will definitely check it out, and when you first started where do you learn how much of the flavoring and VG, PG to put in. I don't want alot of PG, at most I will do 80/20pg, just to thin it out a little.

You sure you have 10ml bottles? (pretty small, but OK, it's good to mix in small batches for experimenting).

In your case "the math" isn't too bad, since you're pretty flexible about how much PG you end up with. Some of the flavorings will probably have PG in them. Anyway, 0% - 20% PG is a big window.

You have 100mg nic. So that means that 1/10th of the bottle's volume (1 ml) would give you 10mg juice. 1/20th the volume would give you 5mg juice (.5 ml).

You want 6mg juice, so you need 0.6ml/10ml. That's pretty hard to measure, but you can do it. Just guess if you need to. 6 mg vs 5mg juice...meh. Shoot for 1/20th of the bottle plus a drop. Meh. The rest can be flavorings and PG/VG. Don't forget to add a few drops of distilled water to smooth it out. Not too much. Max 10% volume, and I'd say go with 5% or less.

This doesn't have to be rocket science, it's not that exact. Get in the ballpark.

:)
ok thanks because I wasn't sure about the water or not but because I do vape max VG the water will probably help thin it out a little too. Trial and error and hopefully I come up with my perfect juice Thanks

It was more than a decade ago, and it was mostly trial and error... I made the mistake of putting too much flavoring in to start with more than once. I have noticed nowadays that a few online shops that sell flavoring will tell you what percentage range they recommend for each flavor (like 5-10% etc). If they don't make a recommendation then start low, like 1% and work your way up, as some flavors are way stronger than others.

A lot of the flavoring vendors give a suggested percentage for each flavoring. Not an expert in tobacco flavor but I've heard they mostly need small amounts.

I use 70/30. It depends partly on what tank you have. I need 30 PG to get good juice flow in the wick. Maybe just try 20 and see if it works. I started using all VG but that wasn't working good in my tanks. 20 was OK but 30 was better. Trial and error really.

Quite a few places offer pg/vg/nic already mixed, just add flavors and you are good to go.

It's usually much cheaper in the long run to get 100mg instead, plus it takes up far less space in your freezer, especially if you are trying to stock up before the May 2020 deadline (or if something happens sooner i.e. State & local bans, the $2780 tax per 1 liter of 100mg passes, etc...).

Just to remind everyone, those flavors are weaker and might need more than 10%.
Do not use water... I tried that (and it wasn't even that much) and it thinned the VG but also make the vapor more like "steam" Just use PG. You didn't really answer my question... do you have plain VG and plain PG? I find a small syringe (no needle) very helpful to measure small amounts. You can get one at the drug store (like for children's medicines) or order from places that have the other supplies. Whatever you mix, shake it up real good at first. If you want a "nutty" tobacco, you must try Purilum "sweet tobacco" (don't worry... it not really sweet) Nic Riv (River Supply) has it.

Have to disagree here about using distilled water. Works very well for me and I don't get "steam" or flavor loss. PG on the other hand I have zero use for outside of flavorings content. I believe new mixers should be encouraged to experiment with all safe base configurations to find what works for them.

And it has to be on a PC? It won't download on my computer I don't laptop, that's the one I want, I can't figure out how to get it ‍♀️
Not sure why it won't download, the direct link for the .zip file is here.
http://breaktru.com/ejuicemeup.zip
It has to be extracted with a .zip file manager, 7zip is a free utility for that.
7-Zip
I just checked it, downloads worked for me. It is a PC program, if you are looking for one for Android, I use this one.

Maybe it's just my imagination, but I find some SMALL amount of DW to smooth it all out a bit.

It makes sense to me, since both PG and VG are hydrophilic and are "drying". Ever smoke an old cig you found in a jacket pocket? If it drys out, it's nasty. Or cigar humidors, they exist for a reason. Now, I realize it's not the same thing, and that if you get too much, it would be "steamy". But a little, I've found, makes it smoother for me. Not the peppery part, but the dryness part...it helps that IMO.

It may help regulate coil temp a bit too. But that's conjecture. It's all conjecture, really.

Or it helps your coils rust. Lol ;)

Another website for an eliquid calculator is ecigvape.com. They have from the very easiest to more complex calculators to choose from. There's nothing to download. You can save your recipes on their website, and you can access them from any laptop, tablet, smart phone, etc....from anywhere.

I've always used the one that allows up to 10 flavorings with PG/VG adjusting. It will also show you a cost calculator if you want it to figure that out for each recipe and batch size. But if you don't...it's easy to set it so that doesn't even show up at all.

If you need any help with it, just PM me. I've taught 7 people so far how to DIY (by PM, through emails, by phone and in person) and how to use that calculator. All have caught on to it pretty easily and quickly.

The first 10ml I made I put .5 in of the flavoring but someone said the central vapors flavors are weak so to add a little extra. So when I put it in the calculator I would just put 1% flavoring and if I put 3 different flavors but I want the tobacco to be stronger then should I put a little extra of that flavor. I bought 5 tobacco flavors, and 2 of them are almost black, is that normal? Also I can't find if my flavors are PG or VG, so if it doesn't say does that usually mean its PG? Thanks for helping me out, I appreciate it.

Most flavorings we buy for DIY are in a PG base. If that's not the case, the vendor will usually indicate it.

If you'd like some 1-on-1 help with DIY, you could PM me if you want to.
