I must say I dont think ive ever been to a forum and received so much feedback as a new member.. a great community here indeed. You've all given me a lot to think about but I still have questions lol.. If I were to do the liquid how does that work? Do i need a special tip for it or just drop it in the cartomizer? Also if I go this route would it be better to not have a 2 piece ? Theres just so much to think about and I really want it to work for me this time.. sorry if im getting annoying.

Hello! I'm only a month into this and want to welcome you. Also refilling the carto's is really easy. It takes me under a minute. Just pop the top off, drip the liquid in and I'm done. You don't need a special tip, but if you want you can buy a drip trip for it, then it's even easier to get in there and drop some more liquid in.

I'd really try some flavors. The tobacco flavors taste like old sock. there are so many flavor choices. I'm vaping cotton candy and also honeysuckle. I know you said you didn't want the sweet stuff, but maybe for you it will taste so much better. And I swear you'll be saying "why did I smoke those nasty cigs" in a few days. No lie!

You are not annoying by any means. I smile at your post cause it sounds exactly how I was.

ps I'm using an ego style PV and I really like it.

Soundforgenine (sir or Ms.?), you're going to get a lot of different opinions on this because there are so many options in the ecig world. All comes down to what you're looking for in an ecig. If you want longer battery life, then go with an ego or the like. One that looks like a cig, then a 910, 808, 408x, or 510 is the choice for you. If you want a 2 peice design then you're now looking at an 808 or 408x. If you want to go with a flexible design that allows the use of attys at some point, a manual 808 is the way to go because you can use 901 atties on them without an adapter, and no fear of killing the batt if you flood. Personally, my recomendation would be a king diamond or stealth series batt from vapor 4 life. I've tried every type of non-mod batt there is, and they're my favorite. I own a Provari as well, and it's one great pv (use it daily while at work), but don't suggest any person new to vaping go the mod route first. Just be prepared to spend a decent amount at start up to try and find your sweet spot voltage, ohm, watt, draw, flavor, etc. wise. Welcome to the world of vaping. :)

Thanks again for the tips guys.. Not to sound like im rich but money isnt really an obstacle as far as this goes.. Ive already wasted money on 2 crappy ecigs and i waste tons more on Marlboro so I have no problem paying the money this time for somethign to get me off analog cigs for good. Idk why but I like the look of an all black ecig so that would be one thing to consider. Im still a little confused though on using the liquid.. If I were to get say the bloog maxxfusion I could just take the cartomizers off and drip into them? Thanks

    in a cave, eh?
If you go for the Bloog or the Volt, you can always look at ordering an extra manual battery for dripping. It's safer than trying to be really, really careful about keeping juice and water out of the auto's small battery hole.

Filling your e-cig with juice you bought separately is going to be cheaper than prefilled cartomizers. However, prefilled cartomizers are extremely easy to get started with. You just screw them on to your e-cig batteries.

If you're considering an Echo, which is a good larger system, you can use it with prefilled cartomizers you bought for a Bloog or a Volt.

IAlso if I go this route would it be better to not have a 2 piece ?

An automatic battery doesn't lend itself to "dripping" . If you want to experiment with this, get a manual push button battery.

I'm pretty damned sure the 901 atomizer (3 piece) will go on your KR808D-1. If it doesn't, you could always go with an adapter. Your average KR808-D1 to 510 is under $5.00.

Or at double the price of 1 addy and one manual battery, you can get either the Riva 510, or the Riva 910.

Or better yet, not worry about it. You can order blank cartos, and run the risk of spoiling one with a flavor you don't like. Expensive ones are $2.00/pop. Prefilled ones are $2.00/pop.

There is nothing wrong with owning a two piece. And heck, I'm using cartomizers on my 510 these days.

    1) You don't need a drip tip to sample, you can order prefilled cartos in many flavors cheaper than typical sample sizes of juice. ~$10/5. You can always wash out flavors you don't enjoy.
    2) If you opt for a drip system, you can get manual batteries and either a 901 addy + drip tip, or 510 addy and adapter. ~$20ish or so.
    3) You can always buy a Riva 510 or Riva 901 and a drip tip for well under $40

No wrong choice, it's up to you to balance out what level of hassle and financial expense works for you. This is more of a hobby than a habit. As a hobby, buying 4 starter kits is cheaper in the long term than smoking.

Also ive stated before I really dont think i want to mess around with liquid.. how is it though? A good tasting "tobacco" flavor.. i dont want my ecig to taste like candy. I want to feel like im smoking.
That's my biggest problem. The flavorings offered in most pre-filled cartos all taste like sweet pastry or candy to me. So pretty much right away I started searching for a liquid, buying samples from different vendors.

Filling the cartos isn't that much of a problem, just search for some youtube videos on the subject. You get used to it.

I did find one liquid that really hit the spot. It tasted like a fresh pack of cigs on the inhale, and smoke on the exhale. The only problem is that it quickly gunks up the carto, making its use pretty expensive. It's Tasty Vapor Tobacco (made with tobacco extract), you may want to get a sample just to see what's possible with these flavorings.

There are other vendors that make liquids with real tobacco extracts that you may want to try if that's what you're looking for: Vaperite, want2vape, Backwoods Brew, Velvet Vapors, etc. Make sure to just get samples first, this stuff can nickle and dime you to death!
