I am fairly new to e-cigs.. Ive been a smoker for 9 years and want to quit smoking butts.. I bought some crappy e-cig at my local mall of some brand you cant even find online which was a waste of money.. Then I bought a blu cig and kit and i dont think we even need to go there lol. Ive started smoking cigarettes again because the blu is so unsatisfying but I really need to stop so im asking everyone here to please help me out.. there are literally hundreds of options out there and I cant afford to waste more money on a poor product. I really would like to have a 2 piece cig with a great battery as i smoke a lot. Though I dont know a lot about it I really dont think I want to mess with the liquid or anything because im always on the go.. I like the idea of just popping on a new cart and being done with it so what do you guys think? please tell me where to go

Sorry for the long post..thanks in advance for your help.

If your looking for pre-filled carts and long battery life a Bloog maxxfusion with the PCC(personal charging case, basically what you have to charge your blu while on the go) would be an excellent choice. I know less about it but I have also heard good things about the smokelessimage volt, which is supposedly the same thing but they offer a slightly less expensive kit with an included PCC. Of all the two piece systems available they seem to produce the best vapor and have the best flavor, I've linked to both below for you.

If what you're after is serious battery life and satisfaction, I'd really recommend a mod. I use the ProVari - kind of a top-of-the-line mod, but there are many that cost less.

I found that there were times I wanted a stronger hit, and times I wanted to back if off a little. That made variable voltage a prime consideration. I didn't want to lose the investment I'd made in cartomizers and atomizers, so 510 compatibility was important. And I wanted something that would last when I was in the garage, tinkering. I'm not the most careful person in the world when my mind is focused on other things. So far I've dropped it in a parking lot and onto a concrete floor half a dozen times and, other than a little ding on the endcap from the asphalt parking lot, it looks and works just like the day I opened the package. I have no complaints about it, and lots of praise. It's kept me off cigarettes since December.

I appreciate the advice but like I said im just not sure if that sort of thing is for me.. I want simplicity. Dont think I want to do battery mods, juice etc. I do like the idea of the passthrough usb charger.. i didnt know something like that existed. Has anyone personally tried this bloog maxxfusion or anything else out there like it? Thanks again

Hey there soundforgenine, you'll get a ton of opinions on this question. My opinion is to try an Ego/Riva style with cartos. They have good battery life and a lot of people swear by them. If you feel as if you could handle a mod so soon in your vaping career, I'd suggest a Reo mini or grand. With a Reo you fill up your bottle, put in a fresh battery and vape away. You can even throw a carto on the Reo if you don't want to mess with atties and drip tips. A bottom feeder is by far the easiest and most convinient mod to use. I grab my Grand before I leave the house without worrying if I'm going run out of juice or battery life. Oh btw, Welcome to ECF and happy vaping!

I am currently using the Bloog's. I do like them alot, although seems my 65mm manual batteries (both of them) are going South only after about two weeks and the PCC doesn't seem to want to charge them fully , I did send off an email a few days ago but no reply so currently I am not so happy and am starting to wonder about their customer service after the sale...

With that said if that is the type you are looking for look into Smokeless Image for their Volt, same thing as the Bloog just cheaper. And fast shipping which is a plus for me.

Doorknob the maxxfusion and volt are only 5 dollars different in price, the bloog kit comes with the passthru a wall charger and a PCC which is the same package as the volt premium kit and the bloog comes with the larger size batteries. If you don't care about the pass-thru or the extra charger the volt is the cheapest way to get a PCC though. I forgot to mention in the first post that whatever you decide on make sure it has a manual battery, they can take a tiny amount of getting used to but are much more durable.

I'm a new e-cig user as well and I'll give you the benefits of my month long search before buying. I purchased an Ego w/ passthrough battery. Love it so far. Can charge it from my computer or in my car. Battery has lasted all day with fair regular vaping. Never had it die yet, but then I plug it up every evening. I'd stick with regular resistance atomizers and either direct drip or use carts. I've used cartomizers but like the idea of just refilling carts and can seem to do that forever. Cartos are made to be disposable though you can refill them a few times. Went through Cignot for price and speed. No problems so far. I'm glad I went straight to larger battery rather than being disappointed with cig style PV's.

@soundforgenine

I use the Bloog and it works. I was a relatively moderate smoker (around 5-10 cigs per day) and the 65mm battery lasts me a whole day.

My choice of hardware was based on having something small and as hassle-free as possible. The 'two-piece' KR808D-1 fit this requirement pretty well. You can find a bunch of different 'named' KR808D-1s out there (Bloog being one of them).

Be prepared to spend some money upfront while searching for that right tasting e-liquid.

Thanks for the input.. How much longer is a 78cm battery than a regular cig? I dont like the "pen" style. Also ive stated before I really dont think i want to mess around with liquid.. how is it though? A good tasting "tobacco" flavor.. i dont want my ecig to taste like candy. I want to feel like im smoking. How much is the liquid and do you guys think its more cost effective? Im sorry for all the wquestions but i have researched and read until my head hurt and I feel like everything ive read was paid for by a company.

Keep in mind expensive juice runs $1/ml, where KR808D-1 run $2 with juice. If you want to spend extra for simplicity, go ahead with your bad self. I'm just saying popping the top on your cart and adding a few drops cuts your cost of operation by one half at least. But only you know what's right for you.

Vapor King - Premium eCigarette Cartomizers

I've used similar KR808D-1s, not the Blogg or Volt specifically. I have used the KR808D-1 style and found that using the low end batteries, a set of 3 180mAh units on charger rotation were adequate for my needs. For costs and ease of use, I opted for an ego style battery.

Haven't found a flavor that tastes like a "real" cig yet...... even the Menthol ones I've tried don't taste like a true menthol but have more of a lime? taste to me.

The RY4 is pretty tasty though.....:) Hint of tobacco w/ maybe a carmel tone........

What stopped the analog craving for me was two things.......... 24mg nicotine and must have PG for the throat hit (reminds me of a real cigarette). VG looks pretty but it doesn't feel the same as a cig. Pretty though....lol

I too am fairly new and I think like most new vapers, we all wanted to feel like we were smoking. I have also learned there is no liquid that tastes exactly like a regular cig taste, but trust me... once you have been at it for a month or so that taste will be disgusting to you. The flavored ones are great. So much better than smoking. It takes a while and it can be frustrating to find what works for you, but if you stick with it, it will be worth it. Feel free to PM me if you want any more help. I can tell you what has worked for me so far.

I must say I dont think ive ever been to a forum and received so much feedback as a new member.. a great community here indeed. You've all given me a lot to think about but I still have questions lol.. If I were to do the liquid how does that work? Do i need a special tip for it or just drop it in the cartomizer? Also if I go this route would it be better to not have a 2 piece ? Theres just so much to think about and I really want it to work for me this time.. sorry if im getting annoying.

Hi Sound.....I am fairly new also....started with a "cigarette looking" PV last year. I though..."there's nothing to this" (there wasn't) An acquaintaance on Facebook started vaping and I got interested again. I have to stop smoking. I will say, I do love smoking. I was smoking about a carton a week. I will cut to the chase and this has been my experience. I first bought 'several' as it turns out 501 starter kits. I now have a 501 SE (special edition) RIVA...the SE is cosmetic only, but it is stainless steel and I like it. Now, over the past few months with 501 starter kits, more batteries, attys, filler, and Flavors of Juice from tons of vendors I will say this.
Go ahead and start with the RIVA. It does have 501 'threading' so it will be interchangeable with other PV's or even a MOD if you so choose in the future. I ordered my RIVA 501 Kit from Liberty Flights. They are pretty good. Don't miss the 20% off block in the upper left corner of the website. The downside is that they usually are out of some of the extra hardware you may want. ie, att'y, batteries for the Riva. If you are a coffee or chocolate lover, Liberty Flights make a good juice. Start with a fairly ghi nicotine level and work down. Order the smallest size of juices (samplers). Just because one person raves about it, you may not like it.
It won't take you long to be looking for something "up" from the RIVA...lol.....like me....checking into the MOD'S a little now. But I still love my RIVA. Can usually vape 8-10 hours on one battery.....and I vape MUCH more than I have ever smoked!
So, for what it is worth.....I have been vaping a little over two months now and will occasionally have a couple of puffs off of a real cig. (analog) Don't jump in and buy several 501 kits, tons of juice......etc....I have spent a Boatload of money in the last couple of months. Much more than I would have spent on analogs.
My advice: RIVA 501 and small sizes of juice. That should do you for a while! Good Luck!

It can get overwhelming because there are so many options out there. I hate to do this but I'll throw one more option your way and hopefully answer the questions you've posted. I just got an ECHO. It's a two piece pv. The carto hold about 3ml of liquid and the battery 1300mah last me just about two days. Carto's can be filled just by dripping into the filler. It's not hard and you can do it at night and you're ready to go in the morning. If you want easy than the carto is the way to go.

Here's the good and bad with the Echo. It takes 9 hours to charge the battery but the kits come with two so and the battery will last you 24 hours stuck to your lips like a pacifier. It's an automatic so you can't drip and you'll probably want some 808 cartos to taste test juice before you commit them to a 3ml carto. You can get an Ego or Riva and get a echo-e carto to use with it. The echo-e cartos hold about 2.5ml of juice. Normal cartos hold about 1ml. The echo 1300mah is big like a cigar.

You're doing the right thing by researching and asking the questions. Do google refilling cartomizers and watch a few youtube videos on it and you'll see how easy it is before you decide.

Welcome to the forum, everyone here is here to help because we've all been there.
