I've ordered some proper gear which should be here in a few days. In the meantime I am refilling the spent GS cartomizers that I have but I am so terribly disappointed. The taste is flat with practically no hit and disappears after a few puffs or rather, I should say drags because there is barely a puff. Even the ones I boiled and dried are not behaving any better. I also use the blowing through the battery end trick.. that helps for a little bit but then it's caput again.

Please tell me when my gear comes in I will have proper vaping. I don't want to go back to smoking.

I think you will be OK and vape instead of smoke when you get things that give you enough vapor, throat hit, and nicotine. That's what I'm finding is most important to me. I already know I prefer a 50/50 blend of pg/VG because more VG doesn't give enough throat hit. I may need to increase the nicotine in my juice but I'm chain vaping so I'm not sure. These are some of the adjustments you'll probably need to make, but you will find yourself vaping more than smoking, and then (hopefully) not smoking at all. :)

I've order the Innoken iTaste MVP complete with the tank and coils that come with it but I also ordered a Kanger genitank. I mean to use that when I'm at home, which is most of the time. For out and about and driving I've ordered an eGo CE4. I was doing pretty well with the orginal GS cartos and wasn't even thinking of analogues but this refilling business just isn't hitting the spot. Still not smoking though... trying to be a trooper :D

There have been thousands of people who have quit smoking by using electronic cigarette devices (personal vaporizers). Most people start out on the "cigalike" setups, which can get you off of cigarettes but have poor battery performance and the vapor leaves something to be desired.

Advancing Up the Vaping Ladder

Most people get a satisfactory vaping experience from using some type of "eGo" battery setup. However, many advance to a "mod" or advanced personal vaporizer. However, its not just the battery device which is most important. It is the juice delivery device which sits on top of the battery device which defines the quality of the vape.

Proper Terminology: Juice Delivery Devices

Vaping can be considered "A Journey" to find the right setup which works best for you: Battery device, juice delivery device, and e-liquid. There is no perfect setup which will work best for everyone, as everyone has different expectations and needs. Finding the right flavor/e-liquid is probably even more important than finding the right gear, as you won't vape it if you don't like it.

Don't despair if your initial setups/liquids aren't quite right for you. Keep traveling the journey. There are plenty of people here willing to help you if you just ask, along with their own opinions.

Sounds good; where did you order it from?

Not a big fan of the CE4 though... maybe you shoulda gone with a T3S instead. But hey, it's already ordered.

I'm not very expert but a Google search seems to show that by T3S you mean the clearomizer. Well the Ego I got is equipped with a CE4 clearo but I also got a CE5 to try both. In any case, if you do mean the clearomizer than I consider that a consumable which will need replacing so I can always keep the T3S in mind. For that matter even the battery is not such a big deal and can be replaced if I don't like it so much. It was probably my cheapest item so far. Even some of the juices cost more than it did.

I found there is some trial and error till you find what works best for you. Stick with it and you will be pleasantly surprised when you find your "sweet spot". Took me a month or so to find what works best for me. Just do your research, make informed purchases, always buy from reputable dealers and you'll be vaping away with the best of em in no time!

Vape Club UK. I had previously ordered some juices from them and they were delivered within 4 days from date of order even though I chose the cheaper mail option. I find them pretty good. BTW I am in Malta so a little closer than you are.

Prices don't seem too bad.

I order from fasttech site in china.

Yes, I found them to be good and very reliable so far. I am rather limited as to places where I can shop because not all sites have international shipping. Whether they ship to Malta, and in a reasonable time, is the first thing I look for.... then the prices.... than the variety of choice - in that order. :)

When I first started my vaping journey I wasn't sure that I would succeed but by evolving my practice in a manner similar to that outlined in the "Advancing Up The Vaping Ladder" link I did. In the two years since, I haven't had a single cigarette, but I did buy a few things that weren't perfect. Even though I wish I could get that money back, I still spent less than I would have smoking. Use the site to inform yourself, seek guidance when necessary, and believe in your ability to persevere.

I looked into the shipping/postage costs to Malta. According to the Royal Mail, they can do international small parcels to Malta for £5. (£5.10)

Have your orders told you the post and packaging costs when you are buying items? Does £5 seem right?

Actually I think that on my first order which was a small package of juices I only paid paid £3.95 because I chose the cheapest option. That translates to €5.37 because the rate of exchange at the moment is very bad. On this order I am expecting now shipping was free because the bill came to just over £100. If everything I have ordered works I don't expect to spend anything more in the next couple of months. Even if it lasts one month I would already have started savings vis a vis smoking. That includes my mistake with the Green Smoke but that was before I came here and anyway life is like that - there is always a learning curve.

Very wise. :)

My wisdom was tested and I found out I had none. I reached out to the internet to express my disappointment at the products I had bought.

It started with E-Lites and then a company called JacVapour. My 'positive' reviews for JacVapour still stand to this day... I made comments which I now regret. The improvement over E-Lites was staggering, but I was still smoking and should have held back for a few months.

E-Lites took a different strategy, basically demanding that some of my reviews were removed. They claimed I had not bought the product (which I had) then, that I was not using it correctly (which I was) and then when push came to shove I was advised by a lawyer to accept defeat and allow them to walk all over me. I even prepared a dossier for Trading Standards, which will never see the light of day.

That is why I am still here, 10,000 posts later, on 3 forums.

One thing I have learned, is that the internet is being used by very many businesses in a damaging and pernicious way.
It has taught me that whatever I buy (from everyday products to large capital outlays) the truth lies somewhere not easily found.
Social media is certainly not to be trusted. Forums are often the safest place.

I "dodge bullets" quite regularly now and whatever I need to buy for myself or my family I know where to ask and who to trust.

:)
