Yep... As nice starter kit. Maybe an istick and a nautilus mini

I would change asbestos advice a little bit.

I agree completely about the Nautilus Mini.

My disagreement would be a generic Istick.

I would recommend mods such as

Istick60tc
Cloupor Mini Plus
IPV D2
Wismec Presa (the one that uses the 18650 battery)
Evic vtc Mini

All five can do up to 50 watts, all of them can do Temperature Control (TC). The IPV D2 can fire all the way to 75 watts.

If the Original Poster (OP) decides he wants to get into Sub Ohming, TC, or rebuilding RDAs or RTAs he has a mod that he can use a long time no matter which route he chooses to take.

Nothing worse than starting with a battery that is cheap then a month later he wants to do sub ohming, TC of rebuilding and be told. Sorry but your battery isn't capable of doing that so you have to buy this. I say spend money on a good mod and good 18650 batteries and it may be all he ever needs.

If you know what you want for,,portability & modest price,, IS40 is fine. In watt mode, a fine performer. In TC, lacking.
Seems like TC was grafted to a watt mode device. Try & buy something that was engineered from the ground up to use both modes seemlessly.
I don't have a subbox, so l can't comment..

Absolutely. The istick40tc only does TC at the full 40 watts. Which means the internal battery drsibs pretty fast.

I didnf mention the istick40tc in my recommended list because of two factors.

Not a real TC, and the internal battery.

Mods that use external batteries can be changed when one battery starts to run down. I use the istick60tc and carry an extra 18650 battery just in case.

@PilotNY Thank you for sharing your experience :) I've been trying to cut down and now i can manage 1pack for 2days...but tend to smoke more at home...so decided to try vaping :) Yes i read quite alot of good reviews about Kanger, so now i will have to decide between Kanger or IS40. Guess i have to start with 12mg then reduce to 9mg and finally 6mg...lol...wish me luck! By the way...do you mind sharing what is your favorite juices and their mg content? Just a few for my consideration will be ok (Top 5 etc) :p Cheers!

Anytime my friend. This forum is full of people who craves to help others to quit cigarettes.
On the other hand get a device and liquid because you can understand better by confronting problems (if any)
It works. If I quit cigarettes (Without intending to quit) everyone can.
By the way dont be confused about watts ohms etc. I use a mod with its lowest watt (7watts) still with big vapours (More than cigarettes anyway) Thus you can prolong the life and duration of your battery.
on the other hand it is a enjoy yourself matter. No one can say anything about your choices. For liquids you have to decide yourself It is very personal. changes according to needs and pkleasures. I suggest tobacco flavoured ones in the beginning.

Glad to be of help.

I like the mods that use 18650 batteries for many reasons.

Drop an extra battery in your pocket. When the battery starts to wane take the weak battery out and install the fresh battery and keep vaping. If a battery fails toss the battery in the trash and your mod is still OK. If you have an internal Li-ion or Li-po battery fails in the CoolFire4. Istick 30-50, Pitbull, you have to buy another mod.

On my Kayfun Nano I keep my mod running at 12.5-15 watts.

Thanks :) Do i get the starter kit first? Saw so many different types...Any recommendations?
1) Avoid the cigarette-size battery devices. Period.

2) Start with an eGo battery or a regulated mod. Good Starter Setups for a Beginner

3) Do yourself a favor and spend a few more bucks on one of the higher end tanks, like an Aspire Mini Nautilus. Proper Terminology: Guide to Juice Delivery Attachments

4) Find a flavor that you like. This is as important as finding the right gear setup. You may go through as many as 30 flavors before you find "The One". Therefore, find a vape shop which offers flavor sampling within reasonable driving distance to you; in the long run this may be worth a day road trip.

I hope the Kanger works for you as well it does for me. I was truly amazed at how easy it was to quit cigs after I found a good device and some very good juices. I did buy 2 extra 18650 batteries just in case. I also bought a few additional tanks, 3 Arctic, 2 Aspire Atlantis v2, and 1 TFV4. I think I have enough equipment for right now at least. LOL
Favorite juices are definitely a personal decision. I went for the fruit and dessert flavors right off the bat. So my top 5 look like this:
1) Melons (local shops clone of Cuttwoods Mega Melons)
2) Southern Sweet Tea (local shops recipe as well).
3) Sundaez (local shops recipe of an Ice Cream Sundae)
4) Tigers Blood by Zeus
5) Cinnamon Toast Crunch (local shops recipe of the breakfast cereal)
I hope you find a flavor you fall in love with as it makes it easier to forget cigs for good.

Here's to you and your adventure........ :toast:
