From simply looking at n22 pics, that airflow system looks pretty restricting, but you get a deep juice well. Plume is very easy to set up with lots of air options and as long as you don't over-drip it, there should be no leaks from tiny side post-holes. It has grooves on the bottom to help collect excess juice as well.

Plume Veil is a good middle ground RDA, good for flavor, good for clouds, excellent at neither. The N22 is INCREDIBLE for flavor. It's my most used RDA. I am a flavor chaser rather than cloud chaser, so take that into account, the airflow felt restricted at first but I very quickly got used to it. It still throws pretty good clouds, but this one's for the flavor. I run single coil mode, double, sometimes triple twisted 28 gauge, Claptons, zipper coils, parallels both standard and, which I find interesting, 2 different gauge wires or one piece of twisted one piece of regular wire and one coil which I forget the name of but its 2 oppositely twisted 28 gauge wires twisted together into a chain link looking piece of wire in mine all between 25-45, 55 watts, the builds averaging between .7-1.4 ohms(anywhere down to .35 or up to 1.8 though) on an IPV 3/Mini 2 and the flavor is just amazing. To be expected from those "standard" flavor builds but I enjoy these builds in the n22 better than in my Lancia or Magma even. As a flavor chaser the only other RDA I'm even interested in trying currently is a Holmes, and I truly believe even that would be hard pressed to replace the n22 as my most used at home RDA. In single coil mode and with the right wicking, the empty side of the juice well acts as an excellent reservoir to get a good 10 minutes or so of chain vaping before needing a redrip, depending on wattage. All comes down to what you're looking for, the Veil is a great beginner all around atty whereas the n22 is a more specialized flavor chasing atomizer. My vote goes to the n22, but that's strictly due to my personal vaping habits and what I go for with my builds. YMMV

I have both the Plume Veil v2 and N22 authentics and I love them both but for very different reasons. I got the Plume to upgrade my original "cloud atty" which was a Vulcan (lol if you like). I'm looking for flavor then clouds but it is fun to fog out the living room after every drag sometimes and the Plume does that with ease without sacrificing too noticeably on flavor. I don't use the PV to near its potential as I always have the top AFC closed off. Building on the PV deck is a breeze and there is ample room to accommodate pretty much any kind of build you'd like to try. After a few rounds of wicking I came up with a method that doesn't dry hit or leak, in fact the PV is probably my most mess-free dripper even with careless dripping. Honestly the Plume Veil was an impulse buy and I felt pretty dumb for a few weeks afterwards but once we got to know each other we're best friends and I'm really glad I have it. Built quality is great, what you would expect for the price and there are none of the unforgivable machining defects plaguing the earlier versions, and the gold plating is holding up to daily re-wicking and weekly rebuilds (plus it's pretty). A bonus to the Plume is that it has the flexibility to satisfy my needs when the bug to try out a new kind of build bites.

The N22 I got to upgrade my Magma who's airflow I had outgrown. It ended up being the mega-Magma I was hoping for and a few of the design features make it much more friendly to use. Machining is very impressive, even the milled posts and bottom of the juice well are polished, and unlike the PV and Magma no N22 clone I've seen comes close to the high quality build, look, and feel of what Sector One Vapors brings to the table with the N22. As was mentioned earlier the N22 is much more of a specialized flavor chasing atty, don't expect crazy clouds with this one, but they are more than adequate. My builds with the N22 have been pretty hit and miss - I'm still experimenting with different coils trying to figure out the best way to build for the N22's airflow. The post holes are needlessly massive for such a restrictive RDA and actually make it more difficult for me to place my center post builds versus my other three-post drippers. I seem to get the best results with long and narrow coils, which makes perfect sense since each small air inlet can only cool so much coil surface area. My favorite build for it so far is a single ~0.5Ω 7/8wrap Clapton (24ga core, 30ga outer) with a 1/16''ID wicked with rayon. With both sides wide open at 38W on the SX mini this is one of the juiciest vapes I've ever had. Like the Magma the N22 has a long learning curve for how to re-drip it and I still occasionally get leaks from over-filling

So the low down? These two drippers don't really compete for my vape time because they serve different purposes. The Plume Veil is my cloud atty that gives great flavor and the N22 is a flavor beast that can chuck a decent cloud. In terms of build quality and a "solid" deck, you can't go wrong with either, they both are what you would expect if you're willing to pay for these authentics. The Plume Veil is by far the the more forgiving and easier atty to build and has the versatility to experiment with wild builds. Experimentation on the N22 is more trying to fine tune coil dimensions to play best with the N22's airflow patterns.
