Point a new lady in the right direction?

Greetings ECF members! Post #1! I'm a lady from the west coast US very very new to vaping and ecigs but have tried to do my homework the best I can. (learning all these acronyms is crazy!)

What I'm working with now (feel free to laugh with me here) is the Blu Premium ecig. It's probably needless to say here, I'm losing my mind. Today officially marks two weeks since 'analog' so it's worth something! But I'm sure anyone who's experienced here understands my urgency! Problems 1: battery life. Charging this thing every 45 minutes is insane. 2: Nicotine content. 16mg for someone on 1 - 1 1/2 PAD analogs just isn't cutting it. (Planning to move up to 24mg. Seems reasonable) 3: TH doesn't exist. If it does, it's because the cart has burnt out and without fail tastes like burnt plastic! (imo this isn't really better than an analog) 4: Blu carts don't last anywhere near what they are advertised. 5: The so-called 'Premium' charging pack is pretty unreliable. Sometimes it charges, sometimes it doesn't.

So I'm looking to move on to a mid-size PV. I'm like the look / size / simplicity of the eGo c . However, I've read that bedsides the battery they're not so great. I would really like to avoid leaking and all that kind of frustration. SO! There's the eGo c Twist. Love the battery! So my question, in summary is what to use with it? Cartomizer? (Looked at the 510 Stardust GotVapes VISION eGo Stardust™ 1.6ml TC Carto 2.5-2.8 ohm CLEAR [gv-visionstardust-2.5] - $4.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more and the V2 Vision ego Cartomizers http://www.sweet-vapes.com/shop?pag...color_plus.tpl&product_id=1156&category_id=21 ) But am I correct that with a cartomizer you don't need a separate atomizer ?

Apologies if it's a rather silly question. But everyone's got to start somewhere, right? So if I'm totally off the mark here, point me in the right direction. (Also, anything that can fill without the use of a syringe is preferable) Here's hoping someone can toss me a jewel of wisdom here! Thanks for reading! :D

Greetings from Canada! Welcome to ECF!

Cartridge + atomizer = cartomizer

The Star Dust and Vision eGo are very much the same. I believe the V2 has longer wicks. They are great, by the way!

The Vivi Nova V2.5 is now available and is larger capacity, easy to maintain and has replacable parts so that the initial price is justified.

There are many things available and you have done some homework so you have an idea what may fit you best. I'm sure you will get many suggestions here!

Relax, Enjoy!

Hi there and welcome to ecf! I can totally relate to the constant battery charging woes--when I first started vaping a few months ago, it was with the basic Joy510 auto battery, and I constantly had that thing charging, I'd go into a nic fit just waiting for that little green light to glow. I quickly moved onto a bigger battery mod. I've bought many since then, and in fact did pick up a few of the Ego C Twist batteries a month or so ago, and right now my husband is using them as I attempt to fully convert him. I got him the Ego Vision Clearomizers, and they work great. No syringe necessary to fill, you just unscrew the top, tilt them a little sideways and drip right from your bottle into that little tank, avoiding the center tube--screw the top back on and vape! Really then all you need to to is periodically hold it horizontally to make sure you are keeping the wick wet with juice. I normally top them up when they get a little below halfway empty.

Not sure if this will help, but when I first started I tried an e-go then the e-goT. After wasting the original $300 I went cheap and found life easier until I got the hang of vaping. By that I mean I wasn't used to how to vape I would pull on it like one of my Camel Wides and I would burn attys quickly. I found comfort in a 901batt with a 510 adapter with a standard cartomizer. I would keep 2 batteries in my pocket and my favorite juice. Now I'm ready for my first vv, it just takes time to get used to it.

Wow you have done your homework! As X P3 Flight Engineer said the cartomizer is a combined cartridge + atomizer. The atomizer is in the cartridge so you don't need a separate one.

One thing I'll add is that when I started, I found that the tobacco flavors were reminding me that I was trying to not smoke or at least cut it way down, and I then wanted to smoke. Once I moved to other juices, I found a world of tasty tasty vape and cigs became nasty tasting. Be open to flavored liquid.

I would suggest you skip the Twist for now. What nobody ever thinks about is that, if you get one, you need two of them. Otherwise, what are you going to use while one is recharging? Also, they are very large for their battery size. A twist is almost twice as long as another model that has the same time between charges. The 650mah Twist only lasts about 3-3.5 hours and is as big as a 1100mah kGo. The 1000mah Twist lasts about 8 hours and is ridiculously long. Two 1000mah Twists will run you $60, plus chargers and accessories. You can get a serious, non-disposable variable voltage PVs with 2 batteries for that much.

You were right to pass on the eGo-C. Nothing but trouble.

If you like the way the egos look, I'd suggest a kGo for you. This forum is full of new vapers who move up from a Blu or similar e-cig to the kGo and couldn't be happier. The kGo comes with 2 batteries, and is less expensive than any of the eGo kits. It's also more powerful, tried and true and will last the average vaper about 10 hours between charges.

They will also work with the eGo vision clearomizers, so you don't need to buy and throw out the tank system of the eGo-C.

You can get a kGo in any of 6 different colors for $44 for the complete kit here:

Add a couple of clearomizers or cartomizers and some juice and you'll be set.

Somewhere out there
Welcome!! You may want to try the VV ego, has 3 settings for voltage gives you some options or the Twist, I have both, they both work great, but you do need 2 batts, one to vape while other charges. I am using Kanger clearos, they work very well on the ego batts, on my Provari I use glass tanks, but you can't beat an ego type batt and clearo for out and about. Have fun shopping! That is half the fun :) bnrk

And we have a winner! Ordered the Kgo vision 1100mah with a variety of flavors. :D Thanks so much for all the input guys n gals! Now here's hoping it arrives before my mind is totally lost haha. <3

and it's PINK. Society don't you dare try to tell me I'm 'smoking' !! Now I shall prowl the forums like a ninja until it arrives ^_^
