I play poker and the tables and rooms are strictly smoke free everywhere.
I asked permission and it was granted to vape at The Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, FL. I also asked all the players at the table if they didn't mind. No one did and several were very interested. There were 3 other smokers at that table and the dealer too. All 4 said they were going to purchase the e-cig when they got home. It was a good experience. The non-smokers said they were impressed that there was hardly any smell and the lady next to me said what she smelled was nice. I was vaping Watermellon flavor.
At the Greyhound track in Naples/Bonita I was told that it was ok to vape in the building (it is smoke free inside there), but not ok to vape at the table. The manager was worried that it might distract the other players. I was ok with that and just stepped away from the table when I wanted to vape.

This is why I can't believe Jersey went and did that stupid public ban. I played in wsop in atlantic city earlier this year before the ban. I cannot imagine going back and not being able to smoke. They must allow vaping at least. I don't get it.

I completely get it.... people refuse to accept change. People assume if it looks like a cigarette than it has to be one! Vapor? No that looks like smoke!

These are the kind of people that really get on my nerves because they don't want to be open-minded and just assume we're cheating out way to smoking.

I played at the Palms in LV for 5 days never had 1 problem ,, use a 905 or CHuck or something that looks different and try it Vapor

What they dont know !! , tell them its a MEDICAL vaporizer and see what they say

Well being Vegas I'm not surprised that they weren't ok with it.

I love your idea of calling it a medical vaporizer, they can't say much on that can they?

hope im not too off topic but can you actually be allergic to cig smoke???not vapor...just mean the real stuff...and i love the reference from analog to digital....heehee:lol:

Yes, you can be allergic to regular smoke. My boyfriend is highly allergic which is one of the reasons that I'm switching to analogs. His throat closes up and he breaks out in hives if he's too close to someone smoking. I don't know if its something in the cigarette that causes it or just smoke in general though. Also, a friend of mine is so allergic that she can't be in a house where smoking is permitted even if no one is smoking at the time. The residue that sticks to the furniture gives her some kind of rash on her skin.

However, I do get annoyed by people who claim to have an allergy when they simply dislike smoke. Its not fair to the people who have legitimate allergies who are not taken as seriously because of such liars.

Sweet! I work at the Hard Rock in Tampa! I don't know what our poker room policy is, but I've only ever seen two Blackjack players using the e-cig. I started a trend with employees, though...there's like 6 of us dealers that use em now! One of my Shift Mgrs and Security have said I could vape in the EDR instead of having to go outside. Which is nice, because it's like...30 degrees here. Bleh.
