I just got mine a few days ago. I had to glue the magnet back on the switch. After about 6 dripping sessions today, it stopped working. Checked all connections and couldn't find anything. I'll have to work on itore tomorrow. If it's possible to make it reliable, it'll definitely be worth the work put in. Just a little nervous at the moment.

One issue I have seen with the one I received earlier this week is with the adjustable top pin. When I screw a tank on it screws down the "non "reversed threaded top pin as the tank bottom positive pin contacts it. It will work for a little while and them it seems this adjustable top pin screws in some more and loses contact with the tank. It is a intermittent problem when it happens, sometimes it fires and sometimes it doesn't fire. It is like it is just barely making contact. I can remove the tank and back the adjustable top pin out and it will work ok for awhile. I put an air flow controller on top of the mod, between the tank and the top pin. The tank does not turn the positive pin in the air flow controller. This solves the problem for now.

The adjustable top pin screws very easy. Need to find a way to make it harder to turn. I thought about putting some Teflon tape on the threads, but I think that could block the flow of electricity.

I had the same issue. Just use a mini o-ring around the adjustable top pin.

I had the same issue as well. I contacted Royal Vapor today to ask for an exchange. Hoping to hear back tomorrow. I have the appropriate o-ring for the job and I'll do that if I can't get an exchange. If I can't get the exchange I will be making a furious post about it and copy and paste it places. I really hope that doesn't happen though. I'm pleased with the vendor so far and I'm aware that this is not their fault. This thing just seems to have too many problems for me to feel comfortable keeping it.

Great idea!!!
I checked my spare parts storage and found some #60 o-rings I had on hand to fix a similar problem I had with the insulator on the positive post on my Evic. I put one of these O-rings on the Poldiac clone and it fixed the problem with the screw turning down. I have now been able to take the air flow controller off my mod. Looks 100% better.
Thanks for posting this tip.
I also have an email in to VR that I placed this weekend. Hope to hear from them tomorrow.
I have a friend who was telling me a couple of days ago about a possible group buy for the Asmart Poldiac clone. I may get in on it if the short thread issue on the tubes has been corrected.

Not sure I would've purchased one of these knowing of the problems out there with them. I think I'd have waited until there was a true, tried, and tested unit available. It's all a crapshoot really. Have you read their Terms & Conditions page? I'm not sure these problems actually fall under it. The original version they had did, but not from what I've seen so far on this one. I really can't think of any device I have purchased in almost 3yrs of vaping now that didn't have a quirk of some sort show up after receiving and using the product... Pretty much all of them were just a minor bit of modding away from being a workable device. I was in awe the first time I saw the Poldiac clone show up on VR's site and had one in the cart ready to hit the checkout button then it dawned on me, this device might have a few minor problems!! The original is a much more complex device with the switch setup in it than say a nemmy, chi, or an origin... I am glad I didn't hit the check out button at this point. This all remind me of the Sigelei #20 / Roller fiasco with the switch... They are 2 versions in and still haven't figured out the switch, yet they sell a bunch of them!!! For some reason the Poldiac clone had "buyer beware" written all over it in my book, but I know the temptation of owning something that resembles, (to some), the holy grail of devices, is just too damn hard to pass up. At this point I'm thinking the only way for someone to get a device like a Poldiac with any possibility of some quality would be to go out and purchase the real deal... But threatening to copy and paste a heated post is no solution in this case!!! JMO...

Wasn't the original device that VR carried the Asmart clone? We all saw the video from smokie as to what happened to that!!!

I'm still confused on why someone is even considering one of these!! The original VR clone was Asmart and failed, then they changed to the DaVapes clone and it failed... What is to make you think the FT, (DaVapes clone), will be any different?

The problems I've read about are with the Asmart clone, but I know of two guys who have the Asmart clones and have not experienced problems. I will take a chance with a $32 one that has supposedly addressed the problems with the $70 one.

I have been warned, so won't whine too much if I am disappointed. :)

Did you read my last sentence in the post? "I may get in on it if the short thread issue on the tubes has been corrected." No way am I so stupid that I would buy a device with a known problem that has not at the least had a upgrade to address the known problem. The guy that may run the group buy is checking on the situation.
Right now the DaVapes clone is working good after adding the o-ring under the adjustable top post screw to keep it from turning down when a tank is screwed on. In fact it is working a little too good as I ran a battery down to almost 3.2 volts last night before I realized it. That is when the vape really fell off. Now, I don't have a lot of experience with mechanical mods as I normally use regulated mods. However my King clone vape falls off around 3.6 volts or so. Gotta keep a eye on the battery charge level going forward.
I have not taken the switch assy apart yet to see how it is made. I am also concerned about this switch assy as it has a lot more to it than just a push button with a spring. I am not sure how it will hold up in the future. I do have a small milling machine/lathe so I can make some parts if needed to keep this thing going. I don't mind tinkering a little on my toys if needed. That is part of the attraction of vaping to me.

As I have the DaVapes on order and assume I will have the same problem, where can I get the proper o-ring? I will be using a kick, so should not have over-discharge problem.

Sorry Porter, I guess I missed that...my bad... I know I went on somewhat of a rant there, but the bottom line is this, VR had the Asmart version at first and had a problem with it and pulled it from their site, but still left it listed as out of stock... A week later they put up the DaVapes version and within a week they had problems with it and completely pulled the listing from the site... That tells me there is something a little more major than just needing an o-ring to correct the problems with the device. Something within all that tells me this is one device that shouldn't be sold, yet they are flying off the shelves on FT it seems...

I got them at Lowes in the plumbing department. They are size #60 made by Danco. The size is 1/4 OD x 1/8 ID x 1/16 thickness. Be sure to check for the size as there are also some much larger ones that are marked the #60 size. A box of 10 is around $2.

Much thanks. I've also read that some people buy springs for their mods there.

It could also be more than an coincidence that VR removed their clone upon FT offering it at a reduced price. Lord only knows. It is shiny, cheap and, monkey like, I just had to order one. :D

I think VR just got egg on their face with this whole affair and just gave up on these clones. I do think they try to be an honest vendor and sell good products. When they had the problem with the Asmart clone's threads and replaced them with the DaVapes clone they did not change the description on their website or the customer comments. And they did not let us know they changed suppliers. On the DaVapes clone I think we were all basing our decision to purchase on thinking it was the Asmart clone that the description described on their website and the customer comments were addressing. I was totally surprised when I opened my package to find a box with DaVapes on it.
I am not upset about this at all and do not think they were trying to fool us. Just a bad situation all around. I will purchase from them again I am sure.
I am afraid that people who only know how to fill a tank with juice and screw it on a mod are going to very dissatisfied with buying this clone from FT.

I think the issue with VR has more to do with reputation. If you are a US re-seller of devices and are making statements like: "This Poldiac Mod is a 1:1 Clone, not a 1:10 Clone. It is a EXACT replica of the Poldiac Mod and the closest to the REAL DEAL money can buy." and then striking out twice on the same model, you have a big public relations issue. Besides the legal mis-representation issue.

Hopefully, they provide the people who bought this device (and are dissatisfied) a good solution or they are going to get slammed publicly like "etchie" stated. Pulling the page from their site is sorta like putting you head in the sand and praying that the issue goes away.

First disappointment will probably be discovering that there's no air control for a Protank, etc. (I do have air control adapters).

The first thing I pointed out when it came back up on their site was that they changed suppliers. I knew that by the pics they had posted. It was the pic with the box in it that clued me into it was from a different mfg...

Those words should never have been printed at all... It doesn't matter what device it is a clone of...

I didn't know about any of the problems when I ordered it. I saw that it was supposed to be a 1:1 clone and thought what the hell. It's actually really close from what I've seen of the original. It looks like they will exchange it. They just want to make sure it's not fixable. I've been talking to them and they wanted me to do a few second video showing the problem so they can see what's wrong with it. I made the video and I'm sending it out today. As long as I get to exchange it if it's found to be faulty, I like that they're wanting the video. I like the idea of being thorough before returning something and appreciate the time taken to make sure. And yes, I realize this benefits them too. Like I said in a Poldiac clone thread for this exact product, I'm going to be writing about it when it's all over. Both about the problems with the mod in detail, and how it was handled by Vape Royalty.

I also was very tempted by the first VR Asmart Poldiac clone, but managed to refrain. (I do communicate with two people who say they are pleased enough with theirs.)

I do have a Davapes clone in shipment from FT at the moment, as I'll gamble given the cheap price.

My primary interest is in getting an inexpensive flush top button non-telescopic device that will use a 18650/kick. The Poldiac "sleeves" are not a plus with me, as I would actually prefer something more similar to a Dingo with 18650/kick capability. I am aware of the Roller, but don't care for telescopic devices. Should know in a couple weeks. :)
