Polishing the resin panel on my Drag

My friend has my other resin Feedlink on permanent loan --- she decided she might like the polished finish as well, so I brought it home for a visit and a polish...

Nice one. Just out of curiosity, on the mod the background color looks blue, off the mod the background looks black. What is it, actually?

Both really ... but black, with frosted blue streaks/patches (that looks just white in the straight on panel shots -- probably due to whatever color-balance software is running in my phone camera). Depending on the lighting angle, the blues show up more prominently.

Just to follow up, in another post I showed both polished feedlinks pretty face-on and the blue highlights on the silver body one just looks white (while the blue background on the black body one is prominent):

but that blue looks different at different angles, different lighting:

Got my new Drag 2 today! Really like the look and it definitely feels better in the hand then the original. Like the swirl on the panel.It seems a bit more shiny.I may just leave it alone until it starts to show any scratches.
