I work in a casino. Being a customer service type job, I'm only allowed to smoke, drink, eat or vape on break while in designated areas. Employees that vape are required to do so in the smoking break room. My best guesstimate is at least 1 out of 10 in there are vaping.

As a vaper, I hate being in "designated smoking rooms". They stink. And when you've been in one for a few minutes, your clothes are good for the laundry bin. Yuck.

I ocasionally vape at my desk. I supervise an operations center, so sometimes i just cant leave my desk for a much needed smoke break. Im still smoking, although less analog now.

I do have another employee who vapes, and i'm good with her vaping all day if she wants from her desk.

Now my manager? Thats a different story. He doesnt know what to think. Ive explained it to him though.

I work for a large company, very well known. And just to be on the safe side, i checked with HR on the vaping policy. Turns out we dont have one. Go figure.

I have a job that has me at a desk a lot, and I vape at my desk all day. I also vape in management meetings and all company vehicles. Most, if not all of my coworkers used to smoke. At one time or another I had them all converted to vaping .Two went back to analogs, two quit all together, my own staff never smoked. They tell me they never smell it so they have no complaints.

I vape all day at my desk, but I'll go off to the bathroom or a conference room if I want to make clouds for a few minutes. Our office is above a sandwich shop - so the office smells like fresh baked bread all the time anyway (such an odd fragrance in a bathroom).

No policy - never asked - but the first few days I did it, I would ask people around me at the end of the day if they smelled anything. They all said no, so I took that as a green light.

I report to the president and my office is right next to his - I leave all my gear in plain view, hoping to start a conversation about it, but it hasn't happened yet.

I work in a factory where we mold plastic automobile parts. I've heard stories from my supervisor that they used to smoke right at the machines and they even made ashtrays out of material purges when they were starting a machine up. Now, vaping is a very touchy subject at my workplace. They haven't banned it yet, but I have heard they are talking about doing so. I vape when I'm walking behind machines where nobody can see me because I don't want to have production managers, human resources, or customer tours of people that may be walking around the plant to see me. People have been seen vaping while those people have been walking around the plant and that's the reason for them to possibly ban vaping all together. I know it can look unprofessional to them to see someone vaping and clouds of vapor around them or trailing them as they walk, but they also have to take into consideration that it's a much safer, and healthier alternative for their employees to vape rather than smoke real cigarettes.

I work 2 retail jobs one in a shoe store, and on in a B&M (I start Wednesday lol).
In the shoe store I only vape in the back or when no customers in the store. But I am sure vaping when ever I want at the B&M will be no problem. lol
Not work related but I vape everywhere but in class at my college.

I am the employer of a very small business. I have very few employes, and not always full time. I encourage vaping. I find that making a employe have to take a special "vape break" as in "smoke break" is unproductive. Every one here, working in my studio is a happy camper when it comes being able to vape on the job. Seriously, I am seeing better results in their work performance when they are not constantly watching the clock, waiting for the moment they can dash out for a smoke break. For reference to the poll, my studio is located in a large NON SMOKING building complex.

I am one of the owners of my company. About 75% of the employees (30 full time employees total) were smokers. We are now down to 2 smokers with all others becoming vaping converts. It is a win for our company to allow vaping anywhere at all times (except on customer sites) as it has cut out smoke breaks and motivates the continuance of vaping over analogs!!

I'm self employed and work from home so can vape when I like, my view regarding work place vape'n is the same as smoking to which is not around others who do not smoke, so either in a secluded room or outside, I know we only exhale a small amount of nic but do not think we should impose on others.

That's just a view really on beliefs and imposing, I'm sure if i had to go work with people  I'd have a different view, oh hypercritical me :D

I work for an attorney. I sat down with him one day and explained it to him. He was happy I wasn't smoking any more. I explained it as best I could and I even pulled out educational articles on vaping. It's been almost 4 months and he doesn't say a thing but clients on the other hand if they catch me vaping (try not to vape in front of them) do have something to say. I just listen and move on. Everything gets criticized at some point. I KEEP VAPING! : )

I work for a company that's been non-smoking since 1999. If you are on the clock, on the property, at the job site, or just anywhere at all near the company or company equipment, smoking is not allowed. We don't care if it's your lunch break - since no one is to leave the job site even at lunch, that still means no cigarette.

My boss doesn't know I smoke. How he hasn't noticed in almost a year is beyond me, but he hasn't. So he has no reason to know about an e-cig. Since I'm alone in the office 90% of the time, I could and probably will use the e-cig while at work.

We can only vape on breaks, which I can reluctantly support. What I hate is we are forced to go outdoors to the smoking section. I guess its good in a way. Two months ago there was 1 vapor in my area (I work manufacturing at a large plant). I had tried the blu and wasn't impressed but his pv was so nice I bought one a few days later. Now theres about 15 of us 'non smoking smokers' out there. Im glad to be encouraging my friends but it sure would be nice to be inside. Its getting freaking cold!
