ive read a few threads on tank material,i know this subject has been beat to death, but wanted my own thread to sort through
ive been testing my polycab tank on a custom mod with every concievable juice and have had zero issues for a few months,no cracks, clouding of any kind,so not sure where the issue is,the impact resistance was why i chose the material, but ive seen so many complaints,am i missing something?

Just like all juices are not created equally, apparently not all poly is not created equal.

I have had some juices ( cinabun comes to mind ), that had never effected a tank, suddenly frost a
tank after only a couple days. Some juices that are acidic ( some fruits, citruses, cinnamon ), will
frost/etch/crack a poly tank. Sometimes it is polycarbonate, sometimes it is polypropylene.

That is why some people just switch to all glass with SS caps. Some will use poly tanks, and when they
find a juice that does effect a tank, they use glass only for that flavor.

The problem is that none of the effects are consistent, therefore there is a lot of debate.

Thanks,so far I've had cinnamon, pineapple, orange and menthol, which seemed to be the biggest culprits hold with no effects ,maybe I'm just using a high quality poly, dunno,Gunna go through with production with current material,I'll talk to a glass tank vendor and see about adding a glass option for those that want them when the time comes.

The glass tubes themselves, are fairly cheap these days. It wouldn't make sense to not
have them as an option, at least. IBTanked offers a large range of sizes at a very good
price. There is also a supplier who is offering colored glass ( colored, NOT painted ) for
a variety of existing mods.

If you have managed to find a polycarbonate that is resistant to all juices, make sure to
tell your supplier not to change their supplier. A lot of vendors will buy their base materials
from whoever has the best price at the time, especially if they are buying in bulk.
