Polyfil "hairs" on the atty

OK, maybe this is a weird observation....mebbe not....I just shined a blacklight into my atty and noticed several "hairs" from the Polyfil were stuck to it. (They weren't noticeable to the naked eye.) They probably got stuck there when I first started vaping, not knowing to push the Polyfil below the top of the cart....I used my tweezers to remove them, and lo and behold, got a much cleaner hit when I vaped again. This probably contributed to the nasty dry burnt taste I got from time to time as well.

Anyone seen this before? BTW I experiemented with blowing out the atty as reccomended in cleaning it, but the damn hairs didn't budge, so hence the tweezers.

Whatever floats your boat. As long as the flavor is back and you're vaping happily again, tweeze away. I mod my carts now with the blue foam, but I vaguely remember trying to get good enough light to see in there and pick out a fuzz or two.

I have the same problem, I have not tried to use tweezers yet though. Mine can be seen with the naked eye, so I must have a LOT of the hairs in there. CRAP!

BEWARE: xanax, remember we were talking about the atty and how it wicks? The atty comes equipped with a few floss-like threads that are just under the bridge - if you pull those out the atty won't wick anymore. Don't pull those threads out unless you're SURE they're just fuzz.

I know what the wick looks like, I did a lot of research on atomizers and keeping them clean and whatnot before I got my first e cig a few months back. Over time it seems there are more and more fibers on the atty... could this just be the wick coming loose? (I have not tampered with the atty at all, so with that in mind, do atty's wicks come loose and go about different directions over time?

they do fray just a bit I believe. The main thing is, if it's under the atty, leave it alone.

Liptons pyramid teabags are available at any grocery store. In my part of the world they cost around $3.50 CAD for a box of 20.
