I have been looking around to find a different type of tank material for the Vivi Nova.

So far it has been established that Ibtanked couldn't make a glass threaded version, but I found something on the ECBlend website:

Sunrise Vivi Nova tank (clearomizer) - Long Wick (empty) - Made from Polypropylene (PP) and Polycarbonate (PC). (This composite mixture makes it less likely to crack with certain e-liquids)

http://www.ecblendflavors.com/tank-sunrise-vivi-nova-tank-pp-and-pc/

It doesn't look (from the name) that it is the official Vision tanks, but being that this is the only website I could find anything about cracking resistance (not 100% but better than nothing). Now I am wondering if anyone ordered some of those and how they are holding up...

Yeah I noticed that too, I am hoping that the "gluing the tube to the metal base" is just a mistake.

Few strange things on the tank page:

1. something about "gluing the tube to the metal base".

2. nowhere does it list it as 3.5ml (Capacity: Each unit holds approx 2.8mL of e-liquid). However the official Nova tanks only shows measurement up to 2.8ml so could be that they just use that to list it.

3. "(Do not fill past 1.6mL line or get e-liquid into the metal center post.)" could be a "shows 2.8ml, let's says 1.6ml to make sure we don't get complaints" kinda thing...

Now if the headcoils are interchangeable with official vivi nova headcoils and the tube is the same size as the official nova, there is no reason it wouldn't hold 3ml of juice.

Smoktek has acrilic tanks for the 3.5ml vivi nova's, I haven't had one crack yet using all kind of juice so I have not needed to try the acrylic ones, in case you want to look into it:

Vision Vivi Nova 3.5ml Clear Acrylic Tube

Replacement acrylic tube in several bright colors. Fits the Vision 3.5ml Vivi Nova tank clearomizer. Add some color to your Vivi Nova! These new tubes should hold up to any juice and have graduated markings. These will only fit the 3.5ml tank, not the Mini Vivi Nova.
