Popping and burst of hot air when vaping.....

Hey all, I just started having a strange issue here. At first I thought it was my new UD Zephyrus tank causing it, but I am now having the same issue with my RDAs and my Kanger Sub Plus tank as well. All of these are being used on my new Innokin Disrupter and it happens at all different ohms builds and wattages.
When I am vaping there will be this strange sound, kind of like the sound an 18 wheeler's jake brake makes, but not as loud, then a puff of hot air shoots up through my drip tip. At times instead of the jake brake sound it will be a pop sound, and sometimes loud enough that someone 10 feet away will hear it. It kind of seems like an air pocket or something being released or something. Also, some times when this happens the ohms reading on the Disrupter will either shoot way up or way down.

Has anyone ever had this issue and if so do you know what causes it and how to stop it? Thanks in advance.

ohms jumping around?! Thats a short. Do not use that untill you fix it. could be coil, could be the mod. A change in ohms will result in a change of power going to the atomizer.

Does it happen on any other devices other than the disrupter?

I would say a short as MotoMudder said. The popping isn't anything bad, I think every tank and RDA I use pops a little bit when I first hit the button.

Changing in ohms is not good. Tighten down the coil in the tank and clean the contact pin on the tank and mod.
Check the leads on the RDAs, maybe you tightened down too tight and clipped a lead, maybe a part of the coil is making contact with some part of the RDA. Could clean the contacts of the RDA as well.

Edit: I second his question as well about this happening on other devices if you have other devices to try it on.

Probably bad post contact -- the juice in the hole heats up and explodes out, then usually contact resumes. I did dual 32 gauge once and I'd lose both coils at once, then suddenly POP-POP they'd both come back.

Hey, thanks all. Apparently McClintock had part of it. It was the wicking that was causing it. The way I was doing my wicking the wick would plug the air flow then suddenly unplug and POP!!!

Cool liquid vs hot metal = pops and sizzle and rising hot vapor.

You do realize you are boiling juice, right. Ever boiled water or added something to hot grease. Ever cooked bacon. the pops are the same.

Looks, like you found the cause... blast of air or lack of air flow.

I'm glad you got it solved! I must have misunderstood. Thought your were saying it was happening on your RDAs and your subtank. I assumed more than one tank was having problems...
