Popping badly from tank.

Okay I am so new to this so this is probably a dumb question lol. I fell in love with the Kanger subox Mini so I got one today. I am using the rba base and it is popping so bad after I take a vape I can feel it in my mouth! It's so loud. Some say that's a good sign of a good wick but not sure. Anyone have any idea?

I've noticed popping with my subtank mini and RBA deck for two reasons before I sold mine. It sat there for a couple hours and wasn't used so it popped the first vape. Or cotton is a little loose and there was little juice pockets that would burst when the coil heat up. I rarely had that problem though.

The pops mean it's working. Once the coil is broken in the popping will die down.

I see a lot of posts on here about people being alarmed by popping but it's perfectly normal. Some tanks and builds will pop more than others.

I will just keep breaking it in. I am sure being so new isn't helping much either lol

Try packing your wick a bit tighter.... There is a difference between crackling and loud popping........ Sizzling and crackling cannot be avoided but popping is often times an indicator the wick is not packed tight enough, or the screws that hold the coil legs can become loose.

You're welcome ... Sometimes various juices will crackle more than others....... If you cannot find the cause then you may just be experiencing the normal crackling and not loud popping. Also a new coil and wick will settle in and get quieter after a bit of use as pointed out by @Ou2mame
